“This is a review for animal Reiki. We got our dog from a rescue in Texas, and a few months later discovered he had heartworms. The treatment for heartworms is tough on dogs (and humans!): it involves painful injections and months-long periods of isolation and low activity for the dog. Lisa treated our dog with Reiki throughout his treatment. Several of these sessions were in-person, and it was wonderful to see him relax and grow quiet under Lisa’s touch. He seemed to derive comfort and strength from the sessions. I believe he grew to trust us more during the process and that his Reiki treatments were a big part of that. Some of the sessions were remote, which honestly I was more skeptical of, but I was able to observe my fur baby enter deep relaxation while they were going on, so I’m sure those helped too! Lisa even treated him when he was at the vet’s office after his injections (we were not able to be present due to covid), and it was a great comfort to know that somebody was reaching out and reassuring him when he felt so sick. Overall, the Reiki definitely helped us all get through a difficult period of uncertainty; Reiki provided a way to communicate to the dog that we loved him and were there to help him when he felt bad and didn’t know why. I’d highly recommend Lisa's treatment for animals who are suffering in some way and/or who need reassurance and relaxation!“
