“I have been going to Joann for over 10 years now with both of my dogs .
She is a master of her craft at grooming . Joann brings so much knowledge and expertise to all that visit her business and always has great advice on taking care of mine and others peoples pets .
I had a small Yorkshire terrier that she lovingly took care of for years and even when she was very old and not well ,Joann would go out of her way to gently bath and groom her so she could be returned home
Quickly . ( who does that ? Joann at fancy tails ). I have never forgot the lovely card she thoughtfully sent when Lucy passed away too.
When I did adopt another fur baby I didn’t think twice to call and book an appointment with fancy tails . My new boy can barely contain his excitement when I say “ we’re going to see Joann”!
He is a completely different breed ( golden doodle ) and requires a lot of grooming and maintenance . Joann has taught me which supplies ( combs , brushes etc ) are best for this breed and what needs to be done on a regular basis to keep him looking and feeling great in between appointments.
Her advice is always invaluable.

“After recently moving to Nashua, I adopted a rescued Boston Terrier (Hercules). First thing on the agenda was getting the boy a much-needed bath!!! So I cracked open the phone book... lo and behold, I found Doggie Details, a 3 minute walk from my house! I called and left a message on Saturday. Gail (the owner) quickly called me back (despite not having weekend hours) with an appointment for that Monday and told me what paperwork to bring and what to expect. I had a dog growing up, but never had a rescue before. So, when I arrived to the appointment somewhat nervous, she immediately made me feel at ease and was so reassuring and described to me what she she does for each dog. Since Hercules is short-haired, the appointment was much shorter than expected and he was ready for pickup around 11/11:30am (drop off was 8:30am). I attribute my smooth transition to adoping Hercules to Gail! At the end of the appointment, she gave me so many helpful tips on training, feeding, care, and suggested reading Dr. Dodman books (which are great resources btw). She even suggested a veternarian for me. The price is very reasonable-$25- and quality superb. At the end of EVERY appointment I go home with a happy clean dog!“

He made sure all questions were answered, all options were covered and even waited for our family to gather and say our good byes. “I brought my 18 year old cat, Malibu, to see Dawn after much research and hesitation on my end. Malibu is not only senior but has had a couple of strokes and other elderly aches and pains and this has made me very hesitant to bring her anywhere for grooming as I worry they may not be gentle enough. I previously did much research on grooming and bathing cats and did it at home for a while but decided it may be worth it to find a professional. When I saw that Dawn lets you in with your pet and specializes in senior and special needs pets I JUMPED at the chance. She was so understanding and caring of my Malibu. Extremely gentle and working with and around all of her aches and pains. She went as slowly as Malibu needed. Malibu was content during the entire interaction, as was I. And she is even more happy now that she is home with her new hair cut. Thank you, Dawn! We will be back for sure. Highly, highly recommend!!“

“I love Robin, Pamela and the team so much. The philosophy of the salon suits my dog - and me - perfectly. Robin has been grooming my dog from a VERY nervous pup 4 years ago and she is now totally comfortable - even falling asleep on the grooming table. If you want your dog forced to be groomed, shaved all over and out in an hour, this is not the place for you. But - if you want your dog relaxed, cared for, AND looking fresh. . “I have been going to Salem Animal Hospital for 24 years. I love, love Dr. Caruso and her staff. Thru the years she took care of Babie and Sheba and saved their lives many times. Babie left at 18 years and Sheba at 19. In 2019 I adopted an older cat that I fell in love with....My beautiful, petite, loving Becca. For the past 5 years, Dr. Caruso took wonderful care of my Becca with her thyroid & kidney issues. However, during the past 40 days, finding another health issue, Becca was not well. My Becca had to go to kitty heaven. Dr. Caruso went above and beyond trying to save her. She is an incredible doctor who truly cares about each animal and remembers so many details. If I should get another cat in the future, I will definitely go back to Dr. Caruso. She is the absolute best and I thank her and her wonderful staff for the care they gave my beautiful Becca.
