Dr. Broughton is a life changer!!! I decided to make an appointment to see her after a running injury left me unable to run for any length of time for over 2 1/2 years. During that time, I saw multiple physical therapists, chiropractors, a podiatrist and a physiatrist who gave me multiple injections. Not a single one of these providers were able to help me to get to the point I wanted to be at. I thought that I would never be able to run competitively again. After only a couple of sessions with Michelle, I could run for an hour without pain. After a few more sessions, I could run much faster! Fast forward one year and I was struggling with my running pace/ feeling awkward running so I made a follow up appointment with Michelle and after that one visit she knew exactly what my problem was and I’m back on the road running smoothly again !! I highly recommend Dr. Michelle Broughton for your physical therapy needs!
Last year I had recurring UTIs so I met with a urologist. The urologist also diagnosed with with OAB and all she wanted to do is put me on all sorts of medications with horrible side effects. After getting a second opinion I was referred to pelvic floor therapy. I was concerned about paying out of pocket, but I was so happy I did make the appointment and didn’t feel rushed. A few days after my first appointment I noticed my frequent urination and pain was going away. A month later I had my second appointment and Michelle could see the improvements I have made. Now we are working on constipation issues. It is so nice to be able to talk to someone about personal issues that are very embarrassing and being able to get the help the medical professionals have not given me. Michelle is great about explaining things and making sure you understand your homework. I highly recommend Michelle and know you won’t be disappointed.
I recently gave birth and was recommended by my midwife to go to a pelvic floor therapist. I was apprehensive about scheduling an appointment given the area that would be looked at but decided that an initial assessment could not hurt. I am so please with the care that I received from Michelle Broughton and cannot thank her enough for all of the help that she has provided me! As someone who has experienced their share of hospitals and medical practitioners Dr. Broughton has definitely won my vote of confidence! Not only is she attentive and listens without her face in an electronic device she genuinely cares about your health. Dr. Broughton does directly work with insurance providers BUT she will work with you to submit a claim to see if your insurance provider will reimburse you. Being an out-of-network provider healthcare professional does allow her to take increased care and attention in her patients. Personally, I always felt rushed and like another number in a long list for nurses, doctors, etc. and as so did not feel the individualized care that would have helped me. This is not the case here. Since there is no insurance agency or hospital to direct her patient quota for the day Dr. Broughton is able to spend each session to ensure that all of my questions are answered and address all of my needs at a pace that I set. She also provides me with as many tools as necessary to empower me during my healing process. After four visits with Dr. Broughton I noticed considerable improvement in my pelvic floor pain. She is one of the only practitioners where I feel 100% confident in and at ease with. If you are an individual with pelvic floor pain Dr. Broughton is the person you should visit!
