Cabeza has been cutting my hair now for over 50% of my life. Even after leaving this area for the greater part of a decade I've returned to find his work, his professionalism and his care for his customers to be top notch. Cabeza and his staff greet regulars and newcomers as if you've been friends forever. Thy also take their time to learn what your preferred cut is. Give them a shot, you'll never go to another place again.
I had gone to Cabeza Barber Shop in Lawrence, MA and I was expecting for our language difference to be a problem, but they understood me just fine. I was both pleased and surprised with the overall experience. North Andover Barber Shop had done such a bad job that I didn't even take photos until it had grown out. After which point it was too long everywhere except the crown. I was finally ready. Tito at Cabeza's didn't let me down (and he didn't even cut that crown, he worked around it). He left the top with all the length possible to not overlap the sides. He left the sides and back as full as possible to still have texture and not be smooth without the flattening that "thinning" would have caused. It's a good cut. Textured, yes, but in a good way - modern but not trendy - not the overworked frizzy mess that Michaela had given me. I don't know why she was going for the shaggy look. This is not slick-smooth as it is a clipper, not a scissor cut, but it is very neat. The edges have a very solid line (including even the front) all around, not only the nape. I think locally at least Tito will be my regular barber.
