As always I received the best massage from Michelle, at the spa. It is hard to put into words how great I feel after my appointment. I highly recommend the work she does. Hands down the best massage therapist in Boston. She is such a wonderful person and great at what she does. The atmosphere at the spa is amazing, very intimate and inviting. A true hidden gem in Jamaica Plain. Can't wait to go back for her other services.
This my favorite place to workout. I have been doing the regular big gym memberships on and off for years. But here, I feel the personal attention and coaching has been bar-none. I'm love being there and I always push myself a little more than I would by myself. Jesse is a very knowledgeable trainer and more importantly, a good friend. Everyone is welcome and you feel that in the atmosphere. Definitively not your average gym. My day at Ignite Fitness is always my favorite day of the week.
They take pride in their work , very gentle with cleaning and thorough been going to this practice for many years. Highly recommended.

I hired Bonnie as my doula for a hospital birth, and I'm so glad I did. She balanced out the medical / high-intervention vibes with her grounded, unaffected, badass doula energy and knowledge. My birth was not all as hoped (whose is?!), but Bonnie arrived to the hospital with bags of tools, including a big support pillow that she blew up and helped me use, to find some relief and comfort. Also, she communicated well with the rest of my support team, making sure everyone was replenished and taken care of. She is the real deal!

Working with Everett changed my life. Context: I've had cervical dystonia (involuntary spasm in my neck muscles) for 7 years, and I've seen a range of specialists: PTs, a chiropractor, physiatrists. I'm currently getting Botox shots to suppress the neck spasm. What did Everett do? Over the course of about six sessions, he diagnosed a twist in my thoracic spine that's exacerbating my neck problems (something none of the other providers could do, apparently), demonstrated exercises to correct the twist, and helped me figure out how to integrate the exercises into my normal workout routine. As a result, I'm discontinuing the Botox! Thank you, Everett!! I'll see you soon for a tune-up.

Would recommend this place for a variety of reasons: it's a relatively supportive environment; right now as of October 25, 2024, their ju-jitsu class has a reasonable level of participants, so you'll find practitioners of varying skill level. For kickboxing, it's a cardio-demanding martial art so expect to prepare yourself to be sweating. Some tips from someone who has been going for over 7 months for kickboxing: Buy hand-wraps either on Amazon or at the dojo, gloves, a water bottle and when you get in there, if you plan on sticking it out for a while, ask to be put in their email system so in the case that the dojo is closed ahead of time, you'd know. The website schedule isn't as fully up-to-date, it's better if you email them for an updated schedule. Currently it's $120 per martial art per month, but there have been some exceptions here and there, it's better if you speak with them in person/on the phone for financial payment clarification. I can talk forever with a bunch of other things but this is too long already. Have fun!
Luke did a great job explaining what he was going to do and he kept to the time as promised, which is hard to come by nowadays. He used the appropriate strength and technique to tackle my neck and shoulder pain. He had everything prepared out in the covered and private patio with heated lamps and table that were perfect for the chilly spring weather. Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience that can only be found in JP. Highly recommend him if you are/live in the neighborhood.
My husband and I have been doing duo training sessions weekly, for the past few years. Dale is the best. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful with our workouts. He caters everything to our very different needs. The studio has all the weights and equipment you could possibly need and is thoroughly cleaned after every client. We highly recommend!
I have used Penshorn Roofing for years -on several townhouses in Beacon Hill. For copper gutters, copper downspouts and pigeon wires/guards. Friends have as well. It is a family run business and cousins Don, Stu & Mark and the rest of their team are great at what they do. This week the copper downspout project was a challenge - getting into a difficult courtyard to access, getting up to top of building on many ladders and getting the 4 story downspout installed and getting out- all in one piece! Grateful for their experience, humor and diligence.

I had a massage with Tamyka Sanford last week and it was phenomenal. I've been going to Green Street Massage for years and always had a great experience, but Tamyka was next level. She managed to have the right pressure where I felt like she really worked the tension out of my shoulders but her touch was at the same time so soothing and pleasant. It reminded me of the Billy Eilish album Hit Me Hard and Soft!! Seriously, it was really therapeutic and I highly recommend it!!
Absolutely loved this place. Brought by my boyfriend as a gift and my only problem was findin another woman’s hair floating around they should thoroughly clean it out prior to each person especially after COVID. This place is small quaint and very homely feeling. A great vibe. They plenty of options and great packages to choose from to help with distressing, anxiety and any emotional traumas.

The stylist that took care of my hair was great. I needed it straightened for an event I was attending a while ago but it came out beautifully. I usually feel judged about my thick 4a, 4b hair but she was super professional and did great with the straightening of it. The event took place in the summer and even after sweating it out my hair looked great with minimal if any damage.
I've been sending my dog Momo to Tammy and the team at Pondside for over a year now - he gets great attention, treatment and always has a fun time with his friends. Tammy has also provided grooming services that has been super helpful for a tantrum prone corgi. Great value and I know Momo is being well taken care of every time he goes

Hairdresser spend a lot of time and worked in great detail. Exactly according to the wishes we discussed. At the end, everything was shaved cleanly with a razor blade and sharp edges were drawn. All tools were disinfected before use. Great, fast and affordable Service. Always happy to return

they were fantastic!! i went to caitlin from a friend’s recommendation, because i needed a little advice with what to do next for my hair. she was patient and understanding, asked all the right questions and was able to guide me to a style i really love!! it’s been a week and my hair remains healthy and cute.
Hair type: they have all kinds of specialists, but each stylist is well equipped to deal with different types of hair and curls. my stylist told me if anything changed after i left because of my curl type, i was welcome to come back within 10 days and she would fix it for free.

I have used Donelan contracting for multiple jobs over a number of years. Initially it was to install hardwood floors and gut the master bath. We were so pleased with his work, we eventually had him renovate our guest bathroom add a walk-in closet, some custom cabinetry and bench in our foyer. I live in a historic building and other contractors just didn’t understand what I wanted. Paul really listened, had creative solutions to my quirky condo and made use of space I didn’t even know I had. He has exceeded my expectations with every project!
