Steve came by to check out a suspected dishwasher leak. He was at my house for less than 5 minutes and did close to nothing but yell at me. Despite the fact that water was slowly coming up through the tiles of the kitchen and dripping through to the basement and we had spent 4 bath towels and 3 rolls of paper towels trying to dry the area all night, he concluded that we had simply spilled some water and shouldn't have called him.He didn't even spend the 2 minutes to take out the dishwasher to see if it was leaking (which I'm told is normally the first thing you do). He didn't even shut off the water to the dishwasher (which a different, actually knowledgeable making the leak worse). The leak has continued (right in front of the dishwasher, mind you) and gotten worse since he left because he didn't do anything to address it besides implying we're entitled idiots.Thousands of dollars of property damage are likely occuring in the time since he left because we've been forced to scramble and find another plumber on the weekend and Steve stopped returning our calls even though he originally said he would come by the next day when we told him the leaking was continuing. This of course delayed our finding a new plumber because for hours we were under the impression he would be coming back and we didn't need another plumber. Extremely unprofessional.According to a contractor friend, he effectively didn't do anything and either he didn't genuinely try to solve our problem (which would be concerning) or he did and he doesn't know what he's doing. It's amazing what people can get away with. Depending on what the landlord thinks, we might seek legal advice on the situation. In conclusion, based on my personal experience, a bath towel is literally better at addressing a leak than Steve is (and cheaper, too!). Don't hire him when he's angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Steve fixed emergent water leaks at our house and also was involved in two bathroom renovations. Years later everything still works perfectly. Very happy with his work on our 1920 home!

Steve is a true professional. He was responsible for the HVAC of the MFA so you can definitely trust him in your home. He converted our Oil to Gas in 2003 and it has run perfectly almost 20 years since. Steve is very responsive and professional.Service: Heating system installation
