My experience was with Dr. Stuart MacDonald. I had tried to get an appointment repetitively, with my former dentist of over 10 years. I called when the pain first started but it was at least a week wait. I literally was so desperate I called 1-800-dentist and was about to drive to The North Shore for a same day appointment. As a last ditch effort to find a dentist that could be personally recommended, I posted an SOS on Facebook. My good friend and colleague Ann sent Dr MacDonald’s info with the highest recommendation. I called the office literally crying in pain and the very empathetic receptionist asked me how soon I could get there, they would see me immediately. For those who don’t know, when you have an extensive infection, the Novocain’s effect is negated by the acidity of the large abscess. Ideally, Dr MacDonald would have given me antibiotics and done the extraction in a few days. This infection literally could have killed me. The procedure was done as comfortably as possible. Some Nitrous and no numbing effect from the Novocain, but I insisted on proceeding. Let’s just say it was most unpleasant. All I remember was focusing on a photo of an infant boy, that I assumed was his child. That is what got me through. Dr MacDonald is not just a very skilled dentist, but an all around great person. My teeth were and are in such poor condition, but, he didn’t make me feel ashamed of neglecting my oral health for many years. Thank you Dr. MacDonald. Hoping that my new insurance covers out of network. If so, see you soon!!
Professional, friendly, and family-oriented! I had dental phobia from my experience as a child. When I entered this place, they took all my fears away. The dentists, dental assistants, and staff are wonderful. They treat us like family all the time. Thank goodness for Dr. MacDonald, my dental assistant, Mary, and periodontist, Dr. Childs. They are exceptional and keep me comfortable while I go through my dental treatments. Five ⭐️.
