“We live on Martha's Vineyard where road test slots are notoriously hard to come by, and there's only one auto school in town. Not only did we have to book a road test on the mainland, but we also needed a car due to the fact that our own vehicle does not have the emergency break within reach of the examinator (its on the left side of our steering wheel, so not suitable to use for the road test). Each time we found an available road test at numerous RMVs, we had to contact a driving school to see if they had a car available for that time slot but by the time they returned our call, the RMV slot was taken. Drivers Edge Academy was the only school willing to go to the process with us, staying on the phone comparing the RMV availability with their driving schedule. We eventually settled on an 8am road test.My daughter was unfamiliar with the area just before her road test, and David not only took the time to work with her but also managed to calm her nerves. He met with my daughter at 7 am on the day of the roadtest. What's even more impressive is that he spent an exceptional amount of time on the phone with us the day before the test, going over every detail and expectation in thorough detail.David's accommodating, kind, and supportive demeanor truly made a world of difference for my daughter. He acted as an exceptional proctor for the road test, providing the guidance and reassurance she needed to succeed.If you're looking for a driving school that goes above and beyond, Drivers Edge Academy and David are the way to go. They explain things AMAZINGLY. in the 16 years I've been trying to get my license things finally made sense here. From how to adjust your side mirrors, to how far to look ahead, how the roads help you identify how far things are.I've wasted so much time and money at other schools.At my first lesson I needed practice since it had been a while, but I felt more confident because everyone was patient and wise.At other schools I've had instructors yell at me before or yell at other drivers, and overall stress me tf out.I chose Belmont Driving school because even over the phone they didn't stress me out when they answered.
