Buyer beware! We commissioned Chris to make a level pad for our 16x10 shed, build a fence around our backyard, and resurface our porch. THE PORCH IS THE ONLY THING THAT WENT WELL. Watch his crew very closely. Chris does not give good instruction. Make sure he is looking at you when you talk . Chris messed up our quote for a fence because he does not pay attention to detail. We asked for 2 double gates because I needed to get a tractor in to mow. His crew were installing single gate entry ways and I randomly caught this when walking into the house. This cost us $400 because now, we had to split the cost to change the quote to what it should have been. We also caught him trying to install the double entry way over bushes??? Again, no attention to detail. 2.Now the shed. Please see the "All About Franklin Page" on Facebook and search "shed" to see pictures and our post in regards to this issue . The shed was to go on an incline however, after removing the old shed it was decided that moving the location up and off the slope of our yard would provide a more level surface and also cover the existing shed pad. The pad, made of rocks ,was thrown down and never checked for level. It was also much smaller because his crew thought the shed was 10 ft wide and was to run in a completely different direction (which would have violated property guideline ) After they "fixed it" It was also off in dimension at 15x10 as the photos show, and again, it was not level. I had to have the shed company jack the shed up so I could put cinder blocks down because we could not afford to have them remove the shed and wait for Chris to correct his mistake. When I text Chris, his first response was to blame us for moving the location (which was actually onto a level shed pad and off a hill) I cant imagine how bad it would have been had we kept the location on the hill. When he arrived on scene he appeared to be very upset and ready for a confrontation. A shouting match occurred in our front yard. Customer service at its finest. The next day Chris arrived with more cinder blocks. As this is not the correct fix, we had to tell him to just leave the shed alone for fear of doing more damage. There is always a better option. Again, the porch looks fine, but that's because of his foreman. He is the artist. I would not commission them for anything else.

Long overdue review but we've used Chris and Highlands Landscape for a handful of years. I do most of my own yard work but have hired Chris for spring clean ups, fall aeration, plantings, and small tree removal. Chris is very responsive and he & his crew do excellent work. I would highly recommend Highlands Landscaping for any landscaping work needed.
