Been going for over 2 years never had a bad experience go there a couple times they remember your name that’s big in my opinion 4 barbers on all the time . Worth the wait if you have too . “I see some comments that find reflect the way this shop is ran and Tony having worked there to owning it for 20+ years has been nothing but good service , respectful, sometimes as any shop mostly dominated by men the debates get animated at times . But more so I left always with and smile on my face as well as knowledge. What the man does for the community is amazing . I watched him take an unfortunate honor student on a shopping spree and pay for him to play football. As for the people with the bad comments I must stay it doesn't come from a good place because the 18yrs I've been going there never been any issues“

“I was just in there with my 16 month old grandson. He has had two haircuts previous that went great for him but not great haircuts. Today he was beyond miserable in the chair and somehow he has an amazing haircut. Despite him being difficult the two gentleman there made sure they got the job done and done well! Price was more than fair, they were quick and extremely efficient. Honestly might be too embarrassed to go back but 5 stars across the board for this place. Thank you!“

“I’ve been up and down the south shore at many different barbershops and none compare to this one. Every time I come in to The Modern Barbershop I’m greeted kindly and politely with a “Hey man! How are you?” Or a “What’s up brotha!”.. even when it was my first time walking in when they had no idea who I was! Just really great crew who go out of their ways to make you feel welcomed.

I’d like to shout out one barber in particular named Deklan. I ask for him specifically when I come in. I’ve always had trouble with getting the right cut from other barbers at the many barbershops I’ve been to whether it’s regarding my hair or beard and his attention to detail along with the way he listens to your requests and makes sure you don’t leave the seat without feeling comfortable with the result is like no other barber I’ve been to.

“My 5 year old son, and fiancé have been going to Jess now for about 3 or so years. She is so patient with my son, who has a tough time with not only sitting still but feeling the hair fall on him during the cut. She talks him through the entire cut and keeps him calm, and never shows stress or anxiousness on her end. She lets him watch shows, and has a little play area set up for when he’s waiting (which he loves).. Jess is also the only person who’s given my fiancé a consistent cut, each time, which he loves so much. My family highly recommends her work!“
