I brought my newly adopted cat to VCA as they were her original vet with her previous owner. My experience was extremely positive. There was no wait and everyone was so professional. Dr. Weintrob was wonderful. I have not been to a vet on Cape in years as I use a mobile vet for my other house cat. All around a positive. I must add I take my partners cat to her vet in Fairhaven (and before, New Bedford) and labwork is a 1.3 of the price. I was admittedly shocked to pay 478.00 for an exam and bloodwork.
Plagued with ticks stopped by for some advice on efficacy of tick prevention products. Sign on front door said "closed for staff meeting will open at 1:30". Waited in the parking lot til 10 minutes of two when they finally opened. Walked in and was greeted by a stony face. I facetiously said "Hi, I'm here for some free advice" The petulant response was " we don't give any free advice here." I then asked if they sold any effective tick products. Again an indifferent humorless response "We don't sell any over the counter tick products." The vets may be great here, but the front office is a real turn off. I'd never go back. Heading for Brewster for my next pet emergency. The vets may be great
Good Small , General practice Vets Right in the middle on pricing . Fair and Honest. Great for referring to the best specialist if your pet has certain needs. They work with the Sampson Fund as well which is a phenomenal asset to the local community and established clients. Pleasant Bay has been around for decades and the corporate overhead hasn't changed the care this staff gives.
