About The Face Place and Spa
The Face Place and Spa, established in 1984, is a well-regarded skincare salon located in South Shore Boston, known for its trusted skin treatments, educational service, and high-quality products. Many customers praise the excellent Dazzle Dry manicures and pedicures, highlighting the talented employees who create memorable experiences. The atmosphere is often described as lovely, with a particularly warm reception from staff. One customer appreciated the unique comfort of lounge chairs and warm neck wraps during pedicures, rather than traditional massage chairs. While many reviews celebrate the quality of services, there are mixed experiences regarding staff changes. A standout employee, previously offering exceptional massages and manicures, is no longer with the salon, leaving some customers disappointed. Nevertheless, new visitors have enjoyed their first experiences, reporting that the spa is clean and provides a relaxing environment. Overall, The Face Place and Spa continues to be a beloved choice for skincare and relaxation, attracting both long-time clients and newcomers eager to enjoy its offerings.
I had the amazing pleasure of visiting Deja for a facial, brow shaping and waxing, and I couldn't be happier with the results! The facial was incredibly relaxing and left my skin feeling rejuvenated and glowing. My brows were shaped amazingly and enhanced my face shape. The wax was quick and painless and made sure I was fully comfortable throughout the whole process! Overall, I highly recommend to book with Deja! Her attention to detail and care made an extra difference to the service!!
Deja is a phenomenal aesthetician, perfectionist with everything she does. Does amazing brows, almost painless waxing in general from her, highly recommend seeing Deja for anything, she makes you feel even more beautiful!!
Atmosphere is lovely and receptionist Terry is an absolute gem! Sure, you don't get a massage chair for your pedicure, but honestly, I've never liked them - they're bulky and awkward to sit in. I find the comfy lounge chair and warm neck wrap way better. I used to see Eva for my manicures, pedicures, AND 90-min Deep Tissue massages. If I could give Eva 6 stars, I would. I casually joked once during one of my mani-pedi appointments with her, "you know, you could be a masseuse here" and her response was "I am". And I'll tell you, this woman is extremely talented at massage. If theres a PhD in massage therapy, she probably has one. She is extremely knowledgable. I soon after started booking regular 90-min massage appointments with her. Absolutely above and beyond in terms of evaluating the current state of your muscular system and applying the solution that worked best for you while also making you feel extremely comfortable and relaxed - I could write a novel here. Unfortunately, I learned Eva no longer works there--which was devastating to learn upon arriving to my appointment. I'm giving 3 stars because the person I ultimately had was kind and all, but you could tell she was right out of school and her extreme tardiness and lack of preparation really dulled the experience. She also took way longer than expected and my "gel" nails didn't last me a week. It became very clear that Face Place just isn't the same without their top employee. If anyone knows where Eva's at now, let me know!
