They are very creative in avoiding any responsibilty. Never any itemizations or explanation of charges (and we paid them almost $4k total). Charged us for freon six times the wholesale rate. Still could not fix the leak, but refused to put it in writing, then would not answer emails or pick up phone when my husband called them, I had to call them from my number.Call them if you want to get screwed.

They did a good job on the tune-up. However, after the technician inspected everything, he went outside to check the compressor and filled it with 3lbs of refrigerent without asking us first costing an extra $300 more than expected for only a tune up ($270ish). Make sure you tell them to tell you what exactly they're doing and price before allowing them to add or touch anything.

I hope whoever is thinking of using Taylor HVAC thinks twice and considers the non-5 star reviews. I tried giving them a chance before seeing other reviews online. They were quick to come out to check my furnace. They cleaned up my flame sensor and pointed out some other pieces that would need attention to which I agreed to at least get a quote.Turns out that changing foam insulation is nearly 150 dollars, changing 2 capacitors (which I researched online) would cost me 500. These in itself seemed insane knowing how much the parts cost. On top of that, to change a part that seemed to be on it's way out was originally quoted at 725. When I asked to only do this and not the other pieces listed above, I was told the quote was now 925. I asked for an explanation as to why it changed and the part number (for my own edification and research). They said, that's the flat rate and the part is just a part.Seems fairly dishonest and shady business practice to not be able to provide justification for your prices aside from "925 is the flat rate and it is an original lennox part" in a response asking for a breakdown of the costs and part number.Edit: I found the part online and it's anywhere from 135 - 250 dollars. I guess you're paying nearly 700 dollars for changing it out. I could say, maybe 200 for showing up, 200 for the part, and another 200 for changing it out. But 925? They really avoided providing information because they expect consumers to be negligent.
