He is able to get kids who don’t enjoy sports to participate in class, which is the test of a good instructor. Shihan Eric is very attentive, gives specific instructions, and approaches children in a calm and friendly but no non-sense manner.Students earn physical games at the end of class that focus on skills needed to progress in martial arts (agility, speed, coordination, etc).“

57 Pond St, Ashland“A great place to exercise and learn fun new skills! Taekwondo is great for developing balance; stable, controlled spins; core strength; lower body strength; speed; precision; and sparring skills. And Jae H. Kim TKD in Ashland has excellent, patient, and very skilled instructors, who not only can perform all the skills, but who know how to break down those skills and teach others to perform them, with frequent, personalized attention and teaching. In addition, this school does a great job honing perseverance, confidence, and commitment in children, raising up many young people who are unusually mature and surprisingly accomplished for their age! As a practitioner myself, and the mom of a daughter who practices TKD at this school, I highly recommend Jae H. Kim TKD in Ashland.“

245 W Central St #2, Natick“Getting all 3 of my children involved in martial arts classes at REAL Martial Arts has been one of the best parenting decisions I have ever made. Sensi Paul teaches each student what REAL means in the dojo, which is spectacular, but this is what REAL means to me as a parent.R - reinforcing respect and positive behaviors in my children every time they take a class. My children have learned very quickly that the level of respect, responsibility and positive behaviors they practice in martial arts are valuable to use in their everyday lives.E - energy and excitement are a staple of each coach and instructor. Even if one of my kids isn’t having a great day, they are immediately energized and show excitement as soon as class starts.A - advantageous long-term benefits in my children’s self-confidence, physical and mental health. Not only are students learning martial arts, but they are also learning how the behaviors practiced in martial arts can be used in everyday life. These lessons will stay with my children for a lifetime.L - love. It is obvious that everyone who works at REAL Martial Arts loves their jobs. Their positive energy, positive messaging and attention to each student is remarkable.“

53 Jeffrey Ave, Holliston“My wife and I decided to take some jiu-jitsu training so I looked up online the self-defense academy in Holliston and I contacted him so he said come and we will give you a free one night training session so we did go and we loved it. We decided to sign up for this ourselves and do some training. I’m gonna tell you you think you’re too old to learn no you’re not I am over 60 years old and I also normally go to the gym a few times a week. My wife is over 50 and she loves it. She also works out with me at the gym. When you meet the owner, who is the master instructor and his name is Jim he is super dynamite individual. He is also great encourager. Also all his instructors that do attend, his Academy are very down to earth and also very real. There are young teenagers that also go to the jiu-jitsu training session twice a week and these young people are also very down to earth and also very real.
I also suffer with severe PTSD from combat since joining this academy. It has been helping me tremendously. You can also see how Jim and also his instructors are very friendly caring they also tease you a little bit, but it’s all in fun . They really make you feel very relaxed when you walk into the dojo you feel peace from from it. My wife and I have only been going for a short time and we’re gonna continue to do this as as long as we can. Like I said you’re never too old to learn something new. Also, if you suffer with any form of stress, PTSD anxiety or whatever else is traveling you I highly recommend signing up. You will not regret it what I also like about Jim, including all the other instructors, they really make you feel a part of the group. They also encourage you. It’s easy to get frustrated when you are learning something new for the very first time they won’t let you give up they push you to the max. I have a lot of anger due to my PTSD and I’m on different medications so I can help manage all my anxiety and to keep my level down and stay away from my flashbacks. I can tell you right now since just in the short time that we have been there, I feel at peace with my PTSD. I encourage anyone who reads my post please check out this self-defense Academy. I think once you meet Jim and also the other instructors including the other students you’re gonna want to continue. If I could give this a 20 star rating, I would do it. It’s even better than going to the gym and believe me my wife and I love to work out together. I know you won’t regret learning this if you sign up and you’ll see what we experience. Check it out! it’s all well worth the training and also you will find one thing about Jim, which is very true. He is a man of great peace. I can see why he’s good at what he does because this man really does care about all his students, he wants people to learn jujutsu and he’s wanted to do whatever he can to help you learn it.“

“Our son has been going to Bay State Taekwondo for just about 1 year and we've seen huge growth with his behavior, confidence and athletic ability. Master Alves and his wife are welcoming and run a great facility. We've been very pleased with our experience!
Our son loved Master C from the moment he met him. He engages the kid's in a fun and silly way but also commands their respect. This type of approach keeps young kids coming back and builds their confidence along the way. Master Liam recently joined the studio and he and Master C make a strong duo. Their teaching styles really complement one another and both genuinely care for the students. We highly recommend Bay State for anyone who's looking for a great experience!“
