The only totally authentic Japanese dojo around. Scott is an amazing instructor who is highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable in this type of martial arts. His passion for running the dojo is incredible. And he is truly dedicated to his students both adults and children alike. I highly recommend this school for anyone who is interested in learning this type of martial arts.

I found the instructor at the Chikuri Dojo to be an honest , knowledgeable and passionate instructor. The atmosphere in class is welcoming and encouraging. He doesn't just teach you the technique; he also breaks it down by showing you and telling you how it works as well as why it works and in what situation. He teaches a classical martial art and will demonstrate how the same strategies that worked in the past will work today. If you are looking for a good workout, I recommend trying the Junan Taiso /Tanren class.
