My old primary care physician was Doctor Henderson and he retired. I had been with him bout 15-years and he was an excellent doctor. Upon his retirement, Hawthorn automatically transferred to me to a Doctor Shan Qin. Doctor Quin specialty is billing me even for services not covered by my early physical. The only time I know they are not covered is when I receive a bill. I am surprised Hawthorn allows these practices, but they likely do not care. I suggest moving away from this establishment and finding a smaller medical delivery service that cares about patients and not so much about maximizing their bills.

Entered my insurance info online the night before. Got there early only to be told we don't take your insurance. That didn't bother me as much as the WAY she said it. I have mass health, and when I handed her my card, her face completely flipped and with a snooty attitude she stated we don't take this insurance here.... gross and discriminatory

They have some great physicians (and some I would not recommend) but the last couple of years, the office has become disorganized and mismanaged. They can’t keep receptionists and never have enough. Took me 15 minutes standing in line to check-in. Forget calling the office. They leave you on hold for 20 minutes and you’re lucky if they ever pick it up again. Only way to get a message to my doc was through the patient portal. They’re doing too much and clearly can’t handle the size they’ve grown to.
