I have spent my entire 30s either trying to get pregnant, being pregnant, being postpartum or breastfeeding. Needless to say, I've spent a decade doing everything for everyone, except myself! When my last child weaned right before my 40th birthday, I was inspired to ring in this milestone decade with something extra special, just for ME. I have always wanted to do a professional photoshoot, but never could muster up the courage. I've always been a jeans-and-tshirt tomboy and find it hard to look at myself as beautiful or glamorous. I met with Elaine for a consultation and she put all my worries aside! Who said 40 has to be frumpy and boring. This is a new decade to rediscover myself! During my photoshoot, Elaine made me feel so at ease. I felt beautiful and empowered! Her studio is absolutely gorgeous, and she has such an eye for style. I will cherish these photos for the rest of my life. I hope my children will to, especially one day when I'm gone. I hope they look back at them and think, this was MY mom, just the way I remember her! We take so many pictures of our children, our families.
