“I found this place because I had been going to the same Brookline vet group for 17 years and it has steadily been going downhill but I was loyal and don’t like change. When my dog became really sick - I had to find a place that was organized, calm & competent to try and save my dogs life. Ultimately, lily passed away but the wonderful care she received & the kindness that was shown to me was like night and day compared to my previous vet. I can’t believe I waited so long to switch to a different vet / practice. Thank you chestnut hill for doing everything you could for Lilly & I. “My little dope snapped his toenail off today and we came in because our regular vet was booked up. Staff was super helpful, informative, and most of all gentle and sweet with my boy. Despite being in pain he had his tail wagging and wanting belly rubs when they came in the room and was so happy with the tech he would have probably gone home with her ? Hopefully we're not back anytime soon though. 10/10“

“My dog had surgery for a CCL tear last week, and the care she received was outstanding! The entire team at BVS was incredibly kind & caring, knowledgeable and professional. They made a very stressful time for me and my dog a comfortable experience. Dr. Briere took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. When I called to check on my dog after surgery, it was clear that she was being closely monitored. The staff member was able to immediately give me an update on her condition and even sent me a photo of her covered in blankets! I couldn't have asked for better care for my dog. By the second day after surgery, she was already able to put more weight on her leg than before surgery.“

“Came across this review and had to set the record straight. Found Dr. Haddad, then owner of North Main St Veterinary Clinic, in the early 90's and never looked back. Had been to veterinarians in Canton, Sharon, Stoughton, Randolph and Weymouth, but NMSV was where we stayed for 3 decades, thanks to Dr. Haddad and his very remarkable staff. Dr. Haddad never overcharged, but often, under charged for his services. Always received multi pet discounts and was never discouraged from piggy backing visits to save money and that we did, but more importantly, we received top notch care. He likely wasn't the best businessman, but he was far an away the best and most dedicated and caring veterinarian.A very humble and hard working man, he stayed on after selling to VCN. Through personal and physical issues he worked far past retirement because he cared so deeply. He is a dedicated vet who served out country in the 25th infantry division in Vietnam. Dedicated to caring for military dogs to this day. There aren't enough stars to properly award this outstanding veterinarian and human being. For ever grateful for the care he provided all our loves.“

“I absolutely love this vet, and am so surprised to see such a low rating. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here with both the techs and vets we've seen. Yes, their prices are high, but when it comes to my pet I would rather pay for top notch service than budget for something cheaper. I have called numerous times just with questions about if my dog should be seen and have been told what to do over the phone rather than come in for an appointment. If they really did only care about money, they could've easily advised me to come in and collect. However they truly care about the animals they see. The techs all love my dog and always want to make her feel comfortable (she gets very nervous) and have found their care to be excellent. I would recommend this vet to anyone!“

“My family has been going to BAH for years with my childhood dog and now that i have animals of my own i started bringing them there too. I wish i could leave 10 stars for them, every single person that works in the office is so patient, understanding and compassionate. This past year has been a rollercoaster with my cats unexpected health problems and there has been a handful of emergency visits/after hour calls. They not only prioritize my cats health, but they always make sure i am okay with everything that goes on as well. I am moving in a couple weeks to North Carolina and i will say, parting ways with BAH will be the most difficult part of the move.“

“My cats have been receiving care at Boston cat hospital for a couple of years. I've worked with several veterinarians on their health. Every single veterinarian I've been to has been compassionate and thoughtful about both my animals and about the financial cost of treatment. At my most recent visit this week, the tech had initially prepared us for laboratory studies. However, the veterinarian used her medical expertise and discretion to suggest that we should actually wait another year given that our two cats were healthy and laboratory tests would be expensive and likely low yield. However, last year, when one of our cats was ill, they were quick to suggest a test showing our cat actually had stomach cancer. This allowed us to make appropriate decisions to keep her comfortable and understand what options were available. I would definitely recommend Boston Cat hospital for your cats. It may feel expensive sometimes, but the vets are so considerate of your animals, your time, and your financial situation that I am delighted that I get to work with them.“
