Snow removal in New England is a tough business, demanding and unpredictable, but Plow Guys maintain a great standard, with especially good communication — they provide regular updates before and during storms, and show up when they say they will! Outstanding Professional. Alex provided a home inspection for our family on short notice, and did a great job. Alex called me before he looked at the house, and I was able to tell him all the items I was particularly concerned about. He was able to peel back the onion and investigate those issues pretty good. After the inspection was complete, he called me, and he explained to me everything I asked about. THEN, he sent me his inspection report with pictures and narrative, and I feel like I now have a total understanding of the house we are spending our life's savings on. We couldn't have done this without Alex's help.

Alex and the Floors-are-us team refinished about 900 sq.ft in our Waltham apartment. I have to say - they really did a beautiful job!!We were not sure about exact color choice and finish choice that we should pick, Floors-are-us helped us with 7 different color samples they were able to do on our flooring. Also Alex explained pros and cons of different finishes that helped us to understand what to choose. Alex and Floor-are-us team were great at communication, adjusting their schedule to match ours and even worked around a scheduling issue that we had. They showed up when promised, did exactly what they promised, and at the cost that was promised and they did a really good job too.
I can highly recommend to connect with them if you have flooring project in mind.

Great service, reasonable pricing - strongly recommend! My iphone died so I took it to the Apple store. They suspected water damage and advised they could not restore the phone. I had already determined data wasn't being backed up to the cloud (an oversight on my part), so was of course devastated thinking all my photos/contacts/etc would be forever lost! Fortunately, I found BosnaTech on the web. Ned from BosnaTech quickly responded to my initial inquiry, provided clear instructions on how to send my phone in the BosnaTech service center (I lived too far way to drop it off), and said he would do his best to recover the data. In the end Ned was able to recover the data and transfer it to a flash drive, which he mailed to me along with the phone. As an unexpected bonus Ned said BosnaTech could also repair the original damaged phone. Outstanding service and communications throughout, all at what I consider to be a very reasonable price.

One Medical is a very professional medical practice across the street from the Porter Square T Station. My doctor always makes me feel seen and heard. She goes out of her way for me. The front desk staff are really nice too. There's only one or two people waiting in the waiting room and the entire place is spotless. It's very easy to be seen by them. You call them up usually you can be seen the next day or the day after unlike CHA when you can't be seen for months. If you're thinking of getting out of CHA try One Medical. A step up.
Zina is not only a talented stylist that is very knowledgeable about hair, but also consistently warm and kind to clients. By going to Zina's salon and receiving her hair advice, my hair color has changed from a mousy brown to its natural darker color, and grown in length. While I go to Zina's to get my hair straightened, she styles and trims my hair properly so that I can wear it natural and put it up to exercise. I highly recommend Zina!

I have been seeing Anita for almost three years after returning back to Cambridge from grad school, and I would give her 6 stars if I could! She is a fierce, independent business owner who has specialized in her craft for decades.
Anita could easily charge 50% more for her services for the Boston / Cambridge area (my hometown salon in Connecticut charges double for the same service), but normally finishes with me in half the time! We've had many long conversations where Anita has explained that she could raise her prices, hire more people, create an automated booking system, and build out her business -- but the reality is she loves what she does and is able to balance working six-day weeks with her family life in the suburbs. Easy, efficient, (relatively) painless, and enjoyable every time.
I can think of only two instances where Anita has had to reschedule (honest booking error, one of her girls was sick), but I can think of tens of appointments she has stayed late or fit me in between appointments because it was time sensitive and she was able to accommodate in short-order. She really tries to go above and beyond and takes her work very seriously.
Kindness goes a long way and we are all doing our best. I guarantee you will not be disappointed working with Anita - extremely professional and just wonderful to work with all around!

I came to Judy Jetson a year ago when I needed to get a hair cut. Kristin has become my go-to girl. She's given me consistently great hair cuts, and she was even down to do my hair for my wedding. Kayla, Rachel, and Emily also did my sister and two teen cousin's hair for the wedding and they were great. None of my family lives in the area so they were all meeting for the first time day of and all the stylists made them feel so welcome and gave them the styles that they'd hoped for. They all looked so good! I don't yet have photos of them but I have my sisters big disco-waves in progress. She showed them a picture of Barbie in the opening dance number and Emily delivered. All of these haircuts, wedding hair trials, and wedding day events were coordinated by Justin who is a dream to work with and made everything go so smoothly. Love this salon, will keep coming back!

This family owned business is very warm and welcoming, the owners are just so sweet. The salon is very clean and tidy!
They gave recommendations based on what I envisioned, and what I loved most was that my manicurist, Cindy, made sure that every nail was even and symmetrical. She was just super kind and helpful and really funny. She made the entire experience very memorable.
I also had some issues with my toenails, and she meticulously worked on it to make it look a lot better and provided excellent foot care.
I’m really looking forward to making this my new homebase salon, even though I live so far away! Couldn’t recommend it enough! My only regret is not coming sooner :)
I would highly recommend Nails by Porter! It was my first time going there today and I will be returning. I had dip on my fingernails that needed to be removed, as well as gel on my toenails that had grown out. I replaced them with a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The salon is clean, nicely decorated and spacious, and it has comfortable chairs and massage chairs for pedicures. Mai did my nails - she was so patient and kind, and she did a great job! She helped me choose a color based on pictures I had and even spent some extra time strengthening one of my toenails, which I had injured a while back.

My go to for a mani pedi when I want to relax. All of the techs take their time and are always kind. I needed a nail repaired and wanted a very specific French manicure, they delivered . Can't recommend enough.
I went for a postpartum haircut and took our baby with me to the appointment. Faron was extremely accommodating. She helped moving the stroller inside, arranged so that our baby could see me at all times, and made space for changing the baby. I had long straight hair that was noticeably thinner than before pregnancy. I gave Faron free hands to give me a short cut that would make my hair look fuller. She did a wonderful job bringing my hair alive!
Angela has cut my hair since 2002 and does an amazing job! Now that I have grey, she also does a gorgeous cut and color. Her color work is phenomenal, and flexible according to what you want. Peter also cuts my husband’s hair beautifully (not an easy task). Super kind folks. A true family whom we are so happy and honored to know.

I got there right when she opened and two people were already waiting ahead of me. It was well-worth the wait. Sophia was kind and gracious. I recently had the privilege of having Chris Reilly (@reillyinks) as my artist at Chameleon Tattoo in Union Square, Somerville. I was finally ready to get my full sleeve and came in with a mock up that looked a little crazy, but had a ton of meaning for me. During my consult, we discussed my vision and he showed me some ideas he had. His energy was solid. Made me feel comfortable and relaxed every time I came in. Always positive and patient. Shop was exceptionally clean and the vibe was super chill. More than exceeded my expectations. His attention to detail was impeccable. Linework and shading were clean, smooth, ... flawless. I literally can stare at my arm all day, it's that stunning. He is an incredibly talented artist, refreshingly humble, and I am super grateful for all the time and energy he spent with me. Pleasure to work with and would highly recommend.
I have gone to Lucky's Cambridge a few times for various piercing projects and have had positive experiences every time.
Keith pierced my double brow in December when he was apprenticing. This was an important piercing for me as it has given me a great deal of gender euphoria around my face. It's healed wonderfully. He was very thoughtful and intentional in his process of lining up both sets of holes before piercing, and verbally walked me through the entire process with him as he went along. Everything is perfectly aligned just as I'd hoped. Healing was uneventful. And I've since had the barbels sized down (also at Lucky's though I forget the piercer's name!)
I went for my triangle yesterday and had an excellent experience working with Lars. Their process seems trauma-informed and centers consent, communication, and comfort. There was ample space made for me to ask and have questions answered. And I felt assured of my agency throughout the process. I was comfortable advocating for myself and I had an active role in my own piercing. It wasn't just something being done to me. Lars was considerate and used respectful language and professional touch around my unique anatomy. I knew I was in good hands! She made sure I had all the information I needed and gave me some invaluable advice along with extra supplies to help me care for my new piercing.
I would recommend working with Lars if you're a queer or trans individual considering a gender affirming genital -or other body- piercing. He made my session comfortable and accessible. I've been wanting this piercing for a good while. The placement was very carefully aligned and looking at it now, I'm happy with how it sits on my body. I'm excited to start the healing process and eventually my stretching journey.

We used Charlie Allen Renovations to transform our kitchen and bathroom in our 1920's condo. I can't even begin to say how incredible the CAR team was to work with. Every person we worked with shared their expertise in historical renovation. They were patient and attentive to our every need. After listening carefully to the way we entertain and cook and what we value in our kitchen they worked with an architect and presented us with 5 different options to change our small kitchen. We took a wall down and opened up our space - it's incredible - more counter space and cabinets. It's beautiful. We gutted our bathroom and put in a walk in shower and tile throughout. It's elegant and like being in a spa. Our meetings were fun, focused, and productive. The project designer walked us through the selections and set us up with local vendors who were terrific to work with. We knew exactly what we were going to spend and the time line before the construction started. Our project manager was so great to work with and talented. In addition to organizing the project he did much of the carpentry work. He was attentive to every detail. I came up with new ideas for us which we loved. We had a phenomenal experience working with CAR!

A wonderful yoga studio. Spira has a wealth of knowledge about the body, anatomy and approaches to Yoga and wellness. The environment here is welcoming and nurturing. The space is really lovely; a sanctuary in the heart of busy East Cambridge.
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a wave of warmth from the team—it truly feels like a second home.
The lower level studio space feels like a vibrant, energizing den. The mood lighting is EVERYTHING—soft, inviting, and somehow both calming and invigorating at the same time. It's the perfect environment to sink into your practice or even stay a while after class to soak up the serene yet productive energy.
The space is beautiful and well thought-out, and the community vibe is truly unmatched. It'll be hard for me to stay away!
This place with the help of the instructors (Sharon , Morgan)( Inferno )who we so far have had the pleasure of working with has been an amazing experience , from recovering from fractured bones it’s not only helped my body but my mind and soul as well.It’s a life style and I recommend everyone to try it.Open minded all around , like fabulous said , just breathe ?♂️Can’t wait to book again.

Sonja's approach to energy-work and reiki has been life-changing since I first met her in 2015. I feel physically lighter leaving an appointment every time, and I am so grateful to Sonja for all her knowledge and willingness to heal those in her community. I see Luz here and would highly recommend! They are an excellent communicator and very tuned in to what they are doing. For example, they will notice if my breath changes and ask if the pressure is ok.
Haven't had a shiatsu massage in about a decade, so I had high hopes (and expectations) for my recent appointment with Roger. He was terrific - afterwards, my body felt better than it has in awhile and the headache i had was gone. Will definitely be coming here again.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Easy parking, relaxing atmosphere, PERFECT massage. Latoya is so kind and helpful, both with body and mind. Can't say enough good things!

I would recommend Mozi for an inexpensive but GREAT massage and/or foot massage. The massages are fantastic, the guy who had massaged me twice really works hard to get my knots out.
The feet massages are calming and wonderful.
I've been here several times and look forward to coming back.

Rachel has been a fantastic for my acl and meniscus repair rehab. I’ve been working with her for the past 9 months and she’s helped me so much in feeling more comfortable and confident in my strength and mobility. As an athlete my entire life, it was very disheartening to not be able to do even just the basics post surgery, and Rachel got me back to running, mobility, and jump drills. She is very knowledgeable in the space and was especially a great help with a couple setbacks/complications I had early on in my rehab process. Rachel was always willing to move at my pace while also challenging me each session. I would highly recommend Bay State. Everyone, from the receptionist to the other trainers, was always very kind and welcoming, and it was a very encouraging space. Thanks to everyone for helping my rehab journey.

Debra helped me heal chronic wrist pain I had from computer overuse with frequent re-injuries. Now as a musician, this posed limitations in my ability to play piano. I have tried PT and chiropractic which did not provide long term solutions. After about 10 sessions with Debra, my wrist is in very good shape where I can play as much music as I want with no more re-injuries! She also helped loosen a sore neck I have had for 10+ years from playing the violin, with just a couple of treatments. I’m so impressed by Debra’s healing abilities and acupuncture! Her treatment rooms are so pleasant too. I always fall asleep even though I never take naps. :)
I have been coming with Dr. Lin to get acupuncture for chronic health conditions related to my nervous and immune system. I also stopped having food cravings and have more energy right now. Direct and to the point (no pun intended) regarding treatment and practice. This isn't the "spa" variety and quite effective. I've had experiences with other varieties of acupuncturists in the past... none were as good. Maybe the difference is the committed TCM approach instead of the more westernized approach. Whatever the reason, he's been spot on for my care. So thankful to have been introduced through a former patient of his.
