I'm not normally one to write a review but my mom and I had such a great experience with Emily that I really wanted to share it. My mom has had worsening hair thinning for many years. She's not one to be too concerned about what others may think but her hair loss has been leaving her increasingly self conscious lately. She asked for my help and I found Emily. What an amazing person Emily is. From the moment I reached out to her on her website she was kind, knowledgeable and seemingly excited to help us. Based on the pictures I sent her and what I told her about my mom and what she was looking for, she ordered at least 4 wigs and toppers to have in salon for my mom to try at her consultation. She made my mom feel so comfortable. She asked questions to figure out what exactly she was hoping to achieve and was honest and genuine about her professional opinion on the state of her hair and what would work for her. Instead of selling my mom an expensive wig or topper, she introduced us to an inexpensive option (hair fibers) AND she cleaned up and shaped my mom's hair in the back. She did all of this in our consultation without any expectations of payment. My mom and I are so grateful to Emily for suggesting the option that best suits her based on who she is and her lifestyle.
I love to research and discover hidden gems and Emily is a true gem. In 2023, I was looking to get extentions for my wedding. A well known salon near the north end of Boston was recommended to me. To make a long story short. The quality was ok-nothing outstanding. The time it took for the extensions were over 14 hrs and the price was over 5k. But the worst part, I was lied to about many things, particularly, when I would need to get the extentions replaced, I was told 2 months! Refusing to accept that, I started researching and spoke to every salon in mass/nh. When I met with Emily, I knew I found a trustworthy, kind, talented soul. I was grateful for her honesty and knowledge. Every 6 months, I have my 20-24 inch extensions replaced, which is a 5-6 hr appointment, where our conversation are never ending. The cost is much more affordable! The best part is every-time I see Emily it's like catching up with a wonderful friend. I feel lucky to have found her!
Emily is not only an artist, but a trustworthy human being. She will tell you if you are asking for things that won't suit you, and will gently guide you towards healthy and beautiful hair that suits you best. I trust her judgement deeply. She is always super booked so book way in advance!!
