I have been going to H&R Block for years to have my taxes done and it feels more and more like a visit to the Motor Vehicles office. I figured for the money I'm paying, I would be treated with more respect. This time after being made to wait for 45 minutes (for an appointment I made a year ago!) without an apology or an explanation, I decided to leave and see if I could find an independent accountant who could help me instead. I searched on Yelp and found that not only did Z& Z Accounting get great reviews, it was a block from my office. So I made an appointment. I went there at lunchtime the other day and it was a very pleasant experience. David was extremely knowledgeable and professional. And when it was all said and done, I was out of there in half the time and at a quarter of the price of H&R Block! I know where I'll be going to for my tax preparation from now on.
