I’ve been bringing my dogs to JP Animal Clinic for almost 3 years, and I’m only leaving because I’m moving away.
Every vet - Dr. Levine, Dr. Marks, and Carter - we’ve seen has been incredibly knowledgeable and great. This practice does not push unnecessary tests or treatments. The docs will walk me through their thought process and always present options, walking me through decisions in a way that feels collaborative and supportive. They’ve helped us through everything from smaller issues like fleas and post-flea dermatitis to much more serious diagnoses like mast cell tumor and Cushing’s disease. The wait for appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgery is not long. They’ve also gone out of their way to help me find the most cost-effective ways to get my dog a particularly expensive medication. Through it all, I’ve felt confident that my dogs were receiving excellent evidence-based care.
Most importantly, when my dogs walk in, everyone knows them and is genuinely excited to see them. That kind of warmth and familiarity means so much.
The only real downside is parking — it can be a bit tricky in JP— but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of care.

My pets and I love JP Animal Clinic! Going on 3 years with them since I moved, I accept nothing but the best care for my dog and cat and the staff here are so friendly and excellent. I’m so glad to have such a wonderful place right here in the neighborhood. I also have unusual needs, including international travel to locations with tons of paperwork and requirements, and Dr Levine is very knowledgeable and experienced and has made the process so smooth. I trust them completely.
Ive been with this vet for a little over a year now and I love them. They are kind, and attentive. I struggle with anxiety over my pet cats health as he has had a history of complications, and they are always so reassuring and honest, they dont push unnecessary or invasive treatment and they listen to all of your concerns. They are also super helpful over the phone and in unusual circumstances! They have always been able to make time to call and answer my questions as well as fitting my cat in for nausea medicine injection on short notice in an extenuating circumstance.
