I visited Habibi Nails and Designs for the first time on Sunday, September 10, 2023, specifically for a pedicure. Upon arrival, I noticed there was a customer ahead of me, which I didn't mind waiting for. My pedicure was performed by Orlanda, and I must commend her for her exceptional skills in painting, cleaning, and shaping my nails. However, I must express my concerns regarding the salon's sanitation practices. Typically, I expect to see tools stored in a pouch to indicate they have been properly cleaned and sterilized through an autoclave or soaked in disinfectant solution to eliminate germs. When I inquired about their tool disinfection process, Orlanda assured me that they did indeed disinfect them after each client. Unfortunately, there was no visible evidence to support this claim. Additionally, I noticed that the file bits appeared to be in need of sterilization. Nail files and buffers were not in a wrapper, which raised concerns. To maintain proper hygiene, it's essential that these items are taken out their wrappers, since a new one should be used for each client. Sanitation is paramount in a nail salon, and it's crucial that clients have confidence in the cleanliness of the tools used.Furthermore, I observed that the salon's chairs appeared somewhat dirty, which could be reflective of the overall cleanliness of the establishment. It's important for a salon to maintain a high level of cleanliness to ensure a positive and hygienic experience for clients. In summary, while I was pleased with the quality of the pedicure I received from Orlanda, I believe that Habibi Nails and Designs should place a stronger emphasis on visibly demonstrating their commitment to sanitation and maintaining a cleaner environment overall. This would enhance the overall customer experience and help address any concerns clients may have about hygiene and cleanliness.
Went in to this salon for the second time. First time it took two people to do my nails and it wasn't with the person I booked with. In addition, they don't use cuticle oil so pushing so way they push them back can be a little painful so beware. This more recent time (two days ago) I went and the lady I booked with said she was double booked and asked me if another person could do my nails, and I just said yes. It took 3 hours, and it wasn't ballerina shape as I had asked but she tried. The ladies are nice but to pay $50 for a nail job like this, idk.
