239 North Ave, Wakefield“5 stars in my book. They built me an amazing bathroom, from the ground up, with such attention to detail and even suggested designs that worked out perfectly. The team was professional and I was so impressed, I called them back to built 2 additional bedrooms in an unfinished attic. The craftsmanship, design and timeliness of the project was beyond expectations. I am a perfectionist and I have had many construction projects, but none as professional, timely, diligent and on budget as McGuire Kitchen and Bath. The subcontractors were on time, professional and did a great job. I am in the process of a 3rd whole house vacation home project with this team and the design of my new kitchen and bathrooms were exactly how I imagined it. Everyone the walks into the house first comment on how beautiful it is. The whole house project is nearing completion and I can’t wait to show off the pictures. If you are looking for an on time, on budget, professional, worth your money project, McGuire Kitchen and Bath is only way to go.“

59 Newhall St, Lynn“After owning my condo on Beacon Hill for 20 years, I decided to do a complete down to the studs renovation. MARS was recommended to me by a friend/neighbor who said they had a great experience with Sal and Edgar and their crew. I’ve recommended them to 8 people in my building.MARS is very professional, responsive and polite. I’d never done a renovation before and they educated me on the process as we worked together to make it all come together. They were patient with me when I had questions or wanted something changed and there was no mansplaining.Go into the experience knowing it’s a team effort and you have to be available to answer questions, make decisions. It’s how you’ll be happiest with the end result. My project was finished on time and on budget. There were no surprises because I was always kept informed. I had to move out of my unit and rented a place for three months and MARS was aware of my timeframe and we met the deadline no problem. If you don’t use MARS for your renovation. You’re crazy. They are the best. I hated to see them go. I wanted to find another project for them. Great team. I can’t say enough about them.“

When we went to check the countertops as to the business, the lady at the front desk did an amazing job in walking us through various countertops and their rates. She was very patient and friendly. They were very quick to install the countertops after we booked the appointment. Everything was done in 3 days. The new countertops look really nice and elevated our kitchen.“

She came up with some great ideas that wouldn't have occurred to me. If all the staff at the Braintree store are as helpful, it's a great place to invest in a new kitchen. I can't wait to see the finished project.“

15-B Cummings Park Dr, Woburn“We got a quote from Home Depot to reface our cabinets for $16K. Instead we got a full cabinet remodel and a new countertop from Cabinets to Go for $8K. Which is pretty damn awesome! We just purchased our first home and we were in over our heads making choices left and right (new floors, new lighting, new appliances etc.) We had very little idea if we were doing the right things, and if we were doing them right. But Nate (who is the mgr at the Woburn store but was at the Braintree store), made it SO EASY. Using the measurements we had (which were far from exact) and some photos he whipped up a quick visualization of what our kitchen could look like. This included knocking out a pantry, adding new drawers and new cabinets. Then he used the visual to help us pick out cabinets, handles and other details. With the first design, we didn't have enough countertop space to work with their fabricator (they needed at least 25 sq ft.) but Nate walked us through how we could find stone remnants and contractors to get that work done. Ultimately, with his help, we decided on a second design that made better use of the space and qualified us for their stone contractor. He was courteous, patient and LIGHTNING FAST with bringing our vision to life. As new homeowners, we cannot recommend his service enough!“

Valentina Munoz, in particular, was incredibly kind, resourceful, and knowledgeable with attentive follow-up. I couldn't have asked for a better customer experience.“
“After purchasing a condominium in a historic South End brownstone built in 1900, I soon discovered that despite all the turn-of-the-century beauty my new residence offered, it was woefully short on storage space. Thanks to Gary Barcus at GB Woodworking, that’s no longer a problem.
Gary designed and constructed a beautiful and functional floor-to-ceiling built-in wall unit in my living room. The unit spans the length of an entire wall, and includes wooden cabinets, glass-front display cabinets and open bookshelves. It was very important to me that the unit not be plain or generic, but that it maintain the elegant details of the early 1900s that are found throughout the brownstone.
Gary listened carefully to my wishes, took measurements, then shortly thereafter, submitted to me a hand-drafted design that perfectly reflected what I envisioned. I approved the design, and he began the process of constructing the wall unit in his workshop. He used the highest-quality wood, glass, hardware and paint, and kept me informed of his progress along the way.
After several months, the wall unit was finished and ready for installation. Gary and his apprentice delivered the components of the unit to my brownstone, then spent several days painstakingly assembling and installing it. They had to build around a fireplace in the center of the wall, and they did so seamlessly. Their attention to detail was meticulous, and the final result was spectacular. If I didn’t know better, I’d think the wall unit was part of the brownstone’s original 1900 construction. It’s not just an addition to the room – it’s part of the room. Gary is as much an artist and designer as he is a carpenter. I am beyond pleased with the quality of his work, and I enthusiastically recommend him to all who could benefit from his expertise.“
