This place is absolutely terrible. My girlfriend went in originally to get her hair cut and colored, and they did a horrible job. She wanted to make the ends of her hair lighter, which they were not at all. She was invited back, but then her hair was too blonde. Luckily she was invited back again, and her hair was changed to be darker, and closer to what she wanted, but still not quite right. The stylist, Allana, emailed her asking how she liked her hair, and my girlfriend was honest saying she was not happy with it. I live in the Back Bay area but had never noticed Bower walking down Newbuy - it's fairly new and on the second floor.. but I'm glad I found it! I discovered Bower through a networking event held at the salon a couple weeks ago. The salon itself is really nice, clean, and modern. I believe it just opened, and I checked did some of the free trials they had through the networking event - had a nice 10 minute back massage and a hand massage, and the back rooms where they had them were private, nice, and clean - and the girls were really nice as well. Also, I had a consultation with Ana, one of the hair stylists, and scheduled an appointment that night. I have tricky... read full review
