LOVE the FADs Belmont studio and instructors. I have been working with Cameron for several months and he is amazing. Perfect for wedding lessons or for getting a feel for ballroom dance. As a newcomer to this type of dancing it has been a very welcoming environment. Check them out soon!
My wife and I followed our instructor from another studio to Fred Astaire Dance Studio Belmont about 1 ½ years ago. We have been very impressed with the ownership, management and instruction. A testament to the talent of the instructors is their ability to acknowledge and accommodate our very different learning styles, insuring that each of us has had a meaningful lesson each time. After either group or private lesson we comment on how much we have learned and how fortunate we are to experience instructors with such depth and breadth of knowledge in ballroom dance technique. The facilities are open (large windows let in much natural light), airy and spacious. Friday evening practice parties and Saturday afternoon tea dances provide socializing and dancing with each other, other students and the instructors in a relaxing setting. Frank and Carol Porcelli
This will wake up dormant parts of your brain! If you spend most of your life in your head without much connection to the rest of your body, ballroom dancing at this studio will reset and refresh your mind, especially after a long day at work. But beware, it may upset your after work pattern of food grazing and Netflix-ing the night away. Your couch may miss you. My husband Eric and I try to attend five sessions (one private, the rest group) per week and it is a blessing. Our Jan 2019 New Year's Resolution was to start dancing, our first lesson was with Chris, the next with Samantha and since then we haven't stopped and intend to keep dancing our nights away. Also you can go to the studio anytime they are open to practice. Another bonus is that the second-floor studio dance floor is both very spacious and has large west-facing windows spanning the length of the studio from which natural light pours in beautifully all day. I had basically never danced before and being 50+ I was intimidated to even walk into a dance studio. However the studio instructors and the owner always make me feel welcome and accepted. Their warm smiles and friendly demeanor will put you at ease even if you feel like a complete dancing dolt. Numerous times the owner, Elizabeth, has led me through the steps when she sees that I'm not getting dances as easily as some of the others. Thank you for your kindness Elizabeth. The instructors we have had (Rachael, Sam, Chris) are excellent and patient teachers and continually inspire us to improve our dance abilities and to practice daily, at least a little, outside of class. The all have non-stop enthusiasm (and, again, patience) and are demonstrably deeply passionate about sharing their love of dance. We are so grateful this studio is in Belmont.
