About T & J Heating & Air Conditioning
T & J Heating & Air Conditioning is a company that provides a range of heating and cooling services. Customers have had positive experiences with their quick scheduling and prompt technician arrival. One technician was knowledgeable and successfully fixed a furnace problem. The company has also handled gas fitting and gas equipment installations at multiple properties, including installing a gas burner on an oil boiler and replacing an electric water heater with a gas tankless unit. Despite some challenges due to no existing gas service, the staff and technicians worked well together, and customers appreciated their professionalism. Additionally, the company has provided warranty service, with technicians identifying and fixing leaks in systems. Customers noted that the staff, including office personnel and technicians, are friendly and professional. However, there have been some issues, such as billing disputes and customer service concerns. One customer experienced unexpected charges for duct reattachment and difficulties with warranty support, leading to frustration and a warning to ensure everything is documented in writing. Overall, T & J Heating & Air Conditioning seems capable of handling installation and repair needs effectively, with a generally positive reputation for knowledgeable service and professionalism. Still, some customers recommend caution and thorough communication to avoid misunderstandings.
We had a good experience with them yesterday. They were quick to schedule the visit and the technician Nate showed up promptly in an hour. He was knowledgeable and fixed the problem with our furnace.
I have used T&J for 2 different gas fitting & gas equipment install jobs now at 2 different properties and have been satisfied. One was to install a gas burner on an oil boiler, and the other was to replace an electric water heater with a gas tankless unit, (as well as all interior gas piping for both). In both instances, there was no existing gas service in the house, which added to the hassle of the installs. Everyone involved (office staff scheduling & coordinating logistics, owner giving the estimates / discussing options, technicians installing the equipment) has been great to work with
Updated 8/2/2024: After the office staff talked with the owner, we were removed from the "Do not service" list and a technician was sent to our home to do a warranty service to make things right. He was very professional and friendly. He placed dye in the system and found a leak in a factory installed part. He tightened the part which should solve the issue. The previous office staff that put us on the list no longer works there. Giving 4 stars as we ended up paying $575 for more coolant from another company when we were initially told they would not service us. We are happy that our problem has hopefully been solved and will continue to work with this company. Original Post: Installed a new Central Air conditioning system in my newly purchased home. After installation, I was charged an extra $382 for reconnecting ducts. I was specifically told that re-attaching 2 ducts would be included in the quoted cost. When I called the office people were extremely rude with very bad customer support. They said it wasn't on the paper quote so I had to pay for it. After several calls, the manager and I agreed to split the cost since this was the beginning of a new long-term relationship with them. Little did I know that they had no intention of continuing a relationship! After a year of my AC running constantly and not properly cooling my house, I called to have a service call. After a week of saying they would get back to me and that it was covered under warranty, I never got a call back. I then called them for a 3rd time. I was told that they would no longer service my account because it was marked as "Do not Service" and that the system was outside of the 1 year warranty. So, I now have a brand new system that doesn't cool my house from a company that does not stand behind their work. I had a bad feeling about these people after talking to them on the phone. MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING FROM THESE CROOKS. Even better, find a reputable company instead of them!
