I'm updating my rating due to an issue my father had. He's a senior citizen and his glasses that he purchased there were giving him some difficulty. He went in and told the salesman that they were broken, and the salesman said there was no way they were broken- he said you could kick them across the room and they wouldn't break. Then he proceeded to kick them across the room. My 87 year olds father's glasses! When came home, he had this look on his face that I've never seen before, like complete shame. I was horrified; he told me not to make a big deal of it, but I'll never go back, and neither will he. What a shame.

I have been going to Pleasant Optical for over 40 years and never have been disappointed. On occasion I have tried the LensCrafters and other places like them when Pleasant Optical has been on vacation and I needed glasses. Always the lenses from these other places were junk, they all were supposed to be scratch resistance but always scratched. All the lenses I get from Pleasant Optical have never scratched. And talk about personalized service and custom fit glasses, this is the place. You go to a chain store and have to pick what they have, here they can order different temple lengths, different width glasses etc. This is a family business so they are only open M-F which can make it difficult but well worth the effort. Pricing is in line with the chain stores, maybe a bit more, but well worth it.
