“When my wife and I started looking for custom home builders, we wanted to find someone honest, organized, easy to communicate with, accessible, and skilled at their craft. Colby Constructors checked every box before, during, and after the home building process, and we absolutely recommend them.From my very first phone call with Alan, I knew he was going to be our builder. I think my initial call with him lasted about an hour. One of the things I liked the most about that phone call was how willing Alan was to listen. Another huge positive to working with Colby Constructors is being able to integrate construction design and interior design from start to finish. I absolute recommend anyone building a custom home to have your builder (and designer) involved in the architect design process. This certainly saved us money long-term and reduced a large amount of stress that would have popped up during the building process. One of Colby Constructors greatest traits is project preplanning. Alan is extremely organized and meticulous, which makes the build itself a breeze once the slab is poured.Colby Constructors utilizes interior designer Kate Lambert of Lambert Homes before and during the home building process. I cannot stress enough how important Kate was throughout the build, and I will be writing a separate review about her to show my appreciation. I believe it is brilliant of Colby Constructors to work hand in hand with such a skilled interior designer before and during the home build to help maximize the full potential of the finished product.Once the build begins, you get to meet Simon. Simon is the perfect complement to Alan and is an integral part to what makes Colby Constructors run so seamlessly. It felt like Simon was on our job site more often than he was not. Simon is extremely likeable, easy to talk to, and does not seem to know the meaning of the word “no.” If we asked if something was possible, he went above and beyond to make sure we could get it done. During our final walkthroughs, Simon’s only goal was to make sure we were happy with every aspect of the finished product. We had more than a few petty requests, and he made sure all of them were accomplished before our move in date.The trait I valued the most during my home building with Colby Constructors was communication. There was not a single unanswered/unreturned phone call or email before, during, or after our build. I would say every time we called Alan or Simon, our phone call was answered immediately or returned within 24 hours. That is unheard of these days in any industry. We were also extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the job site throughout the build.From the very first phone call to the day we moved into our home, Colby Constructors absolutely delivered on all of their promises. The final product is better than we ever anticipated, and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a custom-built home built by well-organized, professional, honest, highly skilled, and trustworthy individuals.
