“I’ve been to a few different EWC locations and this was by far my favorite experience. I have a wax pass for brazilians, which are obviously somewhat uncomfortable no matter how many times you get them done considering a stranger is making eye contact with your girl… but Maddison at the Arlington Creek location made the experience by FAR the most comfortable one yet, despite this being the first time I’ve seen her! I immediately booked my next one with her specifically. We chit chatted like old friends, she made me laugh, and she did a fantastic job! Normally when I get home, I need to pluck a few left overs that were missed but Maddison got EVERYTHING. 10/10 would recommend her specifically ESPECIALLY if you’re a nervous first timer!“

I’ve seen her continue to seek more and more education through the years so can stays up to date with what’s new and also to provide the most knowledgeable and least damaging advice she can. “I normally don't leave reviews, but I think this one is deserved... After having a terrible Brazilian wax experience at a different salon, I was pretty confident I would never try waxing again. I found myself taking a trip to the beach, and not wanting to have to shave every day. “Absolutely phenomenal hair salon with the most incredible staff and Brittany is the sweetest most welcoming person I didn’t even know/realize she was the owner during our visit. I am a breast cancer warrior preparing for my next surgery in a week & my husband & I stopped in last week after having a horrible hair appt at another salon the day before which left my platinum blonde (12+ yrs now) not SO blonde and my roots not so touched up and my pink well let’s just stop while we can. We met Macee and explained what was going on & she booked me immediately to get things rolling before my surgery. Today when I got there I was welcomed like I’ve been going there forever, the front desk staff is on point, friendly and so helpful. Macee brought me in the back and we started discussing what next steps were and Brittany came over and also listened and offered so much wonderful suggestions to help me get back to where I use to be gradually so we don’t damage my hair. Brittany was actually off of work today and took the time to listen and hear my concerns as well as help Macee get this blonde mess back under control. All I needed now was some braids in time for surgery since I won’t be able to lift my arms for a few weeks.
Macee did an phenomenal job getting rid of most of the gold brass mess and styled it beautifully then introduced me to my new unicorn braid queen, Lexi who worked magic with this customized braid just in time for surgery. I am so excited to have found my new hair home and trust all of these stunning, incredibly talented women at this salon. If you haven’t been RUN don’t walk there and book and treat yourself to the best talent I have found in Baton Rouge. From start to finish, they had empathy, understanding, kindness and made a difficult hair situation a more relaxed and calmer one so I could focus on my health and enjoy a moment of “normalcy” among the health chaos. Brittany has established a very professional while family feel, and well put together team at Salon du Sud and her salon makes you feel like you walked right into Southern Charm with the most personalized services and hospitality that you can only find in Louisiana. If they had 10 stars on google Brittany and all of Salon du Sud would get them ! Thanks again Brittany, Macee and Lexi as well as all the young ladies who complimented my hair on my way out, you made my day today, much love and pink ? It really seemed like you were discussing a current employee when you said how slow they were, etc. I do believe those conversations(gossip) should be had in private, to avoid this. I just wanted to bring it to light because it did bother me the more I thought about it afterwards. I know as an employee, I appreciate communication. If there is something I can improve on, please pull me aside and have a conversation. I thought you were very nice and informative when discussing the makeup, and I appreciated that so much.

The last two times I’ve been, it has been absolutely amazing! The staff has been friendly and my massages top notch! I am pretty picky and love a good deep tissue massage. If you’re looking for that, I highly recommend India!

I do have a complaint, while I was waiting on my sister to finish getting ready, I was in the little shop area. I was looking around, and the manager(I’m guessing, maybe owner, she was a slim brunette lady) and the receptionist were talking about a fellow coworker. The things they were saying were ugly and giving “mean girl” vibes. I was trying to focus on looking at the products, but they weren’t being discreet at all. If you have an issue with an employee, pull them aside and have a conversation with them. Give them points to work on instead of gossiping in front of customers.“
