First time customer and we will definitely be back! My Sim is a 7 year old special needs Shih Tzu. He's a rescue who has been groomed under sedation since he was rescued and he's also blind. After years of sedated grooms that were starting to affect him we reached out to see if they were willing to try grooming him without sedation (he was sedated due to his reactions when they groomed certain areas). They said they would give it try and they were successful! They have tricks to deal with little quirks and the treats I brought with him didn't hurt the situation. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a special needs or older animal to them for grooming as they took great care in grooming my dog that was previously classified as being too reactive to be groomed while awake. He was very happy when I picked him up and even had a cute little bandana on.
My Shitzu has anxiety issues which can make it very difficult to groom him but both times I’ve brought him to Bel Air he comes home happy and relaxed! Absolutely love her services and communication
Clean. Efficient. Professional. GREAT value. We love this spot and we adore Star. She has been grooming our two elderly ladies for a few months now since moving back to the city. They always come home looking and smelling fantastic. Even though they put up a dramatic front when we walk in, their tails wag when they hear Star's voice and see her walking toward them :) I can tell they really like her. I've been meaning to write this (glowing) review for a while, but something epic happened that took Bel Air to the next level. We rescued a timid dog with a history of abuse. Though he's kind, he gets very timid and shuts down, sometimes just closing his eyes, shivering and growling. I was beyond nervous about bringing him in for a basic bath, but the boy reaaaaally needed one. Star said that she'd take it slow and go at his pace, noting that she does volunteer grooming for rescue shelters. (Awww. LOVE that). So, a bit later, we pick up our new rescue and he's clean, confident and ready to take on the world! His tail was wagging and his body language indicated he was comfortable. He smelled great and his velociraptor nails were nicely trimmed! Star said he did wonderful and I have no doubt it's because she's patient, calm and warm and took the time needed to do the job well. My pack have standing appointments here and I can't recommend the Bel Air team enough.
