“I recently visited North Campus ER and was highly impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of the entire campus—from the waiting room and ER to the CT machine room and hallways in between. I also had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Mitchell, who was wonderful. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything, asked thoughtful questions, and genuinely listened to my concerns.

Having faced more health issues than I would like in recent years, I continue to choose North Campus IMC Emergency Room because of the minimal wait times and the attentive care provided. I’m truly grateful to have access to quality healthcare close to home.

Was my recent visit to the ER perfect? No—there were some timing and communication issues, which is why I gave four stars instead of five (I think a 1/2-star deduction is more appropriate, but that isn't an option). But let’s be honest—when you go to the ER, you’re likely already in a heightened state of fear, pain, or discomfort. Hospital staff face the challenge of making each visit as comfortable as possible under stressful circumstances. However, if you pay attention to the little things—the front desk staff being patient while you’re in pain and wishing you well when you leave, the CT tech offering a warm blanket and speaking with the kindness of a loved one, the nurse showing empathy and compassion while performing necessary but unpleasant procedures, or the doctor approaching you in a down-to-earth, reassuring manner—these small gestures also define good healthcare.

To feel cared for, even as a stranger, is something that never feels lost at IMC, at either campus. I’m sorry that others may not have this same experience, but for me, the compassion and attentiveness I receive is why I keep coming back to IMC.“
