Sabine Rural Health Clinic is a healthcare facility that provides comprehensive medical services to the local community. The staff, including Jarred and Ms. McCarty, are praised for their expertise, attentiveness, and dedication to patient care. Patients appreciate the thorough discussions about their treatment options and feel involved in the decision-making process. However, the clinic has been described as somewhat disorganized, with issues regarding appointment scheduling and patient privacy. Despite these challenges, the doctors and nurses are generally well-regarded, and the clinic is considered a decent place for medical care.
Recently had my first experience with a family member using the ER and being admitted for IP care. As a health care professional I’m very aware of what goes on in some healthcare settings. That being said, I am hyper-vigilant when one of my family members is in a hospital. I have to say, this hospital stay was one of the best my Mother has had. From EMS, ER and the med/surg floor my Mother was treated with respect and dignity. The attention that the doctors and nursing staff gave to her was top notch. I usually stay in the hospital with my Mother when she is admitted but I felt comfortable enough to leave her in their hands. That is huge for me. She has given nothing but praise for the care she received. Special thanks to Dr Holder and Dr Slaughter, all of the nurses on med/surg and Cory Clifton, RpH for going above and beyond. You read and hear a lot of negativity from disgruntled patients and families about our little hospital but there is something to be said for a small town facility- they treat you like family. For that I am thankful❤️
I spent some time in the ER today and I was impressed. The staff was excellent. I won't go anywhere else now.
Rural Health Clinic #1 —- Ms McCarty has been my provider since late 2015; you can’t ask for a better one. Every time I see her she discusses my care and treatment with me thoroughly - she makes a decision on what’s best for me with her expertise as well as listening to my thoughts and suggestions. I always feel like I’m part of the process. She is very thorough and makes me feel like I'm not “just another patient”. She’s honest with me about my care; even when I don’t want to hear it. If you’re looking for a new provider she’s a very good one.
