Our entire family have been with Dr. Breaux for over 30 years. We have found a comfort with Dr. Breaux and 100% trust in his expertise. He tells it like it is. He never tells you what you should do. He gives his opinion, lays out the treatment options and answers as many questions as you may have, but you leave his clinic feeling like you've made the right decision because you were given all of the pertinent information that you needed in order to choose the best care for your pet. We love Dr. Breaux and are proud to have Dr. Breaux as the doctor for ALL of our furbabies. Michelle Haskew Hodge PS: I also love the staff. No matter when I call, if I ask them if they have time to answer questions for me, they'll tell me yes or no. If they say no, I ask when a good time is to call back and I call them back. It's not often that I have to call them back, but it has happened. They work hard. They are a busy clinic. As a matter of fact, I called just this morning and spoke to Emma for at least 10-15 minutes about a lot of concerns regarding my very ill, elderly dog. She talked with me and told me how best to handle the situation. I never felt rushed or as if I was a bother. You get what you give, in my opinion. I've only had issues with one staff person who worked there, and she has been gone for years. It was mostly a personality clash, not so much an issue with this particular person. I can't complain about anyone else who works there. I'd say that's a pretty good track record considering the number of years that Dr. Breaux has been our doctor. Regarding "waiting hours" to see Dr. Breaux, I think that's more of a compliment to his expertise. I'd rather wait to see a doctor who has an office that is full than be able to walk into an empty waiting room and be seen within minutes, then paying hundreds of dollars for a routine care visit at an overpriced clinic. Having said that, some days you can go to Dr. Breaux's clinic, and you'll be seen within 15 minutes, and other days, you might have to wait for an hour or so. I've never had to sit there and wait hours to be seen. Maybe an hour and fifteen minutes, but certainly not hours. I don't mind the wait (unless my furbaby is in pain or really ill, and in that case, I tell them when I get there that it's a serious situation and they get us in accordingly). We've only had two emergent situations where we were put ahead of everyone else and into a room to be seen ASAP, and it was when my dog was hemorrhaging to death, and the other time was for euthanasia. Anyway, I have no complaints to offer about the staff, the clinic in general or Dr. Breaux. At this point, he will be our vet until we have no more pets or until he stops practicing.

I have been using this clinic, Dr. Breaux for many years. He has always been upfront and honest about all of the situations, my animals, and the options available for those that I have brought. He and his staff are wonderful. Great clinic!

East Ascension Veterinarian Clinic is there for your pet not you! The prices are not the most important thing to fur baby parents but the quality of care and compassion for the patient (your pet!) is or should be the most important thing! To get the quality of care this clinic gives to "the patient" at other clinics would cost more but would the quality of care be twice or three times as good as East Ascension / Dr. Breaux? I doubt it. Dr. Breaux has never been anything but honest and frank about what is going on with my pet(s). I don't care if he (Dr. B) likes me as long as he likes my pet and respects the trust I give to him regarding my pet. So what, if have to wait for services for my beloved pet I have done the same for my human loved ones. Regarding the staff, poor darlings, they listen to humans cry, cuss and complain all damn day! Think about how often they have to give owners sad news, of course they have to harden their hearts sometimes otherwise no one else would get taken care of due to the tears and drama. I promise you the staff and Dr. Breaux do have compassion for the animals and for the good parents of those fur babies. Sorry but many pet owners need to GROW UP and face the fact it's not about them but the beloved pet (hopefully beloved) they have entrusted to the care of whatever Veterinarian Clinic the have chosen to care for their pet. In closing. if you cannot care for your pet you may not be caring for yourself and your family as well as you should. I hope the complainers are equally tough on their doctors. Again I say it's not about you but your loved ones. Grammie
