Roof starting leaking in garage and front door after 4 years (Purchased my first home in Lake Villas in Dec 2019). We found multiple holes and staples left on shingles from roof installation. The staples become rusted and that is why they start leaking now. Called DSLD and them said it is out of warranty. In hindsight, We should have checked the roof before closing. But as a first home buyer, we did not know much about it. Got a quote of $5000 to replace the whole front section of my roof. Be aware of this company. Their product can be very inconsistent based on the quality of subcontractors.
Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detectors constantly going off in my new home! At this point I’m afraid to leave my house because I wouldn’t know if my house is on fire or not because they are constantly going off even after they came changed them all out. The first batch they installed were doing the same thing. Now this is the second batch. Never had this issue before in my other homes. Must be cheap detectors they’re installing. A good quality detector wouldn’t constantly go off regardless if the “weather” is bad.
