Our house is a double converted into a single. There was an addition added onto the very back of the house with a subfloor. The rest of the house had original floors with nothing underneath. Our furnace and a/c runs and runs and runs in the New Orleans weather. We made the decision to shop around for insulation under the house after our son was born. His room particularly had large gaps between the wood planks where the air seeped in.

We bought a house with a second floor that has a walkout access to part of the attic. The room next to the attic would stay around 85-90degrees- with several fans running, a/c blasting, weather proofing the door and adding insulation to the whole attic. Jerry Balentine from WilServ came out and took a look. Discussed ventless a/c or whole attic open foam spray insulation. We opted for the spray insulation. The room now stays at 72-73 degrees- a/c set at 72- even when the heat index has been over 106! The a/c doesn’t have to run non stop and the room is actually usable now!! Thank you so much!!
