I got "Lucy" from a rescue in Arkansas a couple years ago. Viking has been my go-to clinic for her medical and grooming needs. In March 2024 Lucy was in the back yard on her cable dog run when a neighbor's dog entered the back yard and mauled Lucy badly. It was 5pm (close to closing time) when I called the clinic and they said if I could get her there before 5:30 they would stay and tend to her needs. I'm 15 miles away but made it there in 20 minutes. The staff was so kind and comforting. I knew Lucy was in good hands right away. The most compassionate experience I’ve ever had at a vet’s office. A few weeks ago, I woke up before 8am to my kitten paralyzed and made so many calls trying to find someplace to take her. No where in town could see her that early. Thankfully I was recommended here! The girl answering the phone helped calm me down, asked me the important questions without making me more upset, and reassured me that even though it was early they would keep her stable until a doctor could see her. Unfortunately, my baby passed on the drive to the office; but I will never forget how kind and caring these ladies were. They gave me options for cremation and their condolences as well. The vet, actually returned every message we ever sent. And we sent a lot. Our boy Jaxxon had congestive heart failure. I know he was in good hands. The staff were also very caring. And when he passed they even sent us a condolence card. Thank you to all the staff at viking Dr. Vet. You'll always be in my heart.
