Worst possible experience! Dr Butcherts office isn’t very welcoming but I guess that’s a precursor to what’s to follow. She was dismissive, unwelcoming, didn’t feel the need to make you comfortable, and when I asked her a question she simply said (very dismissively), “ we’ll have time for that later”… I was discussing bad experiences at woman’s hospital with some friends and THREE others had similar experiences with Dr Butchert, but hadn’t voiced them!! Luckily I found Jan Floyd (midwife at Ocshner) and the rest is the best possible history. Avoid Dr Butchert like the plague, especially if you’re a person of color! I transferred to Dr. Buchert at about 34 or so weeks pregnant, 4 years ago. This was my first pregnancy. I did the testing for gestational diabetes with my previous doctor but she just couldn’t believe that I wasn’t. So she made me do it atleast two more times. I was made to feel absolutely horrible for being overweight. She was extremely judgemental & not in the doctor I’m trying to help you sense but more of the “oh my god your the most disgusting human being for living this way sense.” I would’ve stopped seeing her after the 2nd or 3rd visit after leaving bawling my eyes out each time if I hadn’t been worried about finding a doctor that would take... read full review

My husband and I were interested in functional medicine, so we made a consultation appointment. It cost $107 to have our weight and blood pressure taken, then be told that there’s a yearly membership fee per person, outside of insurance (it has a comma in it) on top of any testing with no payment plan option. That’s it. Please keep in mind that we were required to spend our own personal time to watch videos (about 30 minutes) before the appointment, then had the nurse practitioner parrot everything we saw in the video back… and collect our money after charging our insurance.
