Rapides Animal Medical Center is a reputable and caring veterinary clinic that has been serving the community since 1983. The office is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is polite, knowledgeable, and compassionate. The veterinarians and vet techs are skilled and gentle, taking the time to explain everything they're doing to put pets and owners at ease. They are understanding and supportive, handling various health issues with care and reassurance. The clinic is a welcoming and comfortable environment, where pets feel safe and valued.
They are just so wonderful here! The girls will go out of their way to get you and your fur babies taken care of down to the tiniest detail they show they care. I’ve had to move a couple of times this year so I’ve had to take my dog to a few different vets and none of them stand up to Rapides Animal Medical Center. I’ve used them for vet care and boarding and would recommend them 100% for your pets.
I’ve used RAMC since they opened in the early 80’s. Dr. April Brown is a great vet and I hope to work with her for years to come. She’s a tender hearted person and takes care of the pets and their people. Alyssa, Bobbie, Corey and all the others whose names I don’t know, thank you for taking care of our Hank.

I can’t recommend Dr. Brown and her team at this clinic enough! Alyssa and the other great staff members have been taking care of my fur babies, Luna and Zoey, for three years. They truly understand my pets' quirks and always go above and beyond to meet their needs. The compassion and professionalism they show make every visit a positive experience.
