The folks at Mills Fence have been incredibly helpful and friendly in assisting me with my fence project. This is why I went back to them when I decided to refresh/update my split rail fence that they installed 26 years ago. This project went so well, I am working with them to plan out a maintenance-free fence around a pool deck. Mills Fence is great to work with!

This review is very overdue. Last Spring, we had a windstorm that tore through our neighborhood and did quite a bit of damage. Among other things the winds brought down one entire side of our 6-foot privacy fence. At the same time, one of my close neighbors lost most of his fence of similar material.I had a few fence companies stop by to give estimates and several suggested that I needed to replace the entire fence and not just one long section as I had intended. With this in mind I recontacted my insurance company and had some hold ups due to them making a decision on whether they would okay this extra amount. Meanwhile, my neighbor had contacted some gentlemen that were going to tear out his fence and replace it for a very competitive price. I had approached these guys with the hopes that they would do the same job for me as my neighbor, however they were not interested. I did not realize how lucky that was for me at the time.The fence company that gave me the most cost effective quote was Mills Fence of Walton, KY. I had some conversations with them, and they were honest in saying that it would be several months before they could begin work on my fence. In fact,N it was the middle of August when my turn finally came up. They did a great job of tearing out the remains of my old fence and then began the task of setting new posts etc for the new fence. My installer's name was Alex and he was an obviously seasoned installer. He had a helper who was very quiet but both worked tirelessly. Alex was honest all through my installation which took several days. He had another job that he had started and told me that after setting my posts, he wanted to finish that job before returning to mine. Alex was true to his word and after another couple days my fence was completed. Let me say that it was well constructed and came out beyond my expectations. Years ago, my neighbor on one side had used Mills fence to attach to my old existing fence. Alex made sure that my new fence joined with theirs very nicely. Instead of three runners on each section they used 4. All of the components were of good quality and so was the construction. To my credit, I put a clear coat of good quality sealer on the entire fence before winter set in. Now a year later my fence still looks great. Meanwhile, my neighbors fence began sagging and leaning over the course of the change of season. Just last week he told me that he had to have his entire fence replaced after just one year.Needless to say, I am very happy that I waited for Mills Fence to do mine!
