I bought an Eastman mandola 3 years ago, and it arrived with a perfect setup--I haven't changed the bridge position once and it still sounds phenomenal! I live out of state, and Steilberg Strings really hooked it up during that difficult shipping crisis in 2021. I am so happy I found them, and I am still happily jamming on my 'dola! It sounds so sweet I had to come back and leave a review, because it's not every day you come across such a happy instrument ✌️
Had a great experience with Steilberg! I visited one evening in October, '23 looking for a clawhammer banjo. The gentleman in the store (Neil, I think) took down about eight different instruments for me to try, tuning up each one and providing advice. When I told him I would come back in the morning there was no disappointment or pressure to close a deal. And when I did come back in the morning, the owner had the very same approach: he offered me several instruments to try, and then backed off to let me make a decision. Had a great experience here. Walked away with an awesome guitar at a great price. I've been looking for a Furch forever, but couldn't find them easily. On a trip to Louisville, I found out Steilberg is a retailer with a great selection. Neil and Jim were both super helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a high quality acoustic.
