Jack and his crew were top notch from start to finish with our outdoor living space!
Jack had creative suggestions and listened to everything i wanted. They showed up on time, were consistently communicating with me, very nice and respectful of our home, met with me any time I had questions and after the fact followed up and completed my punch list in a timely and efficient manner. I would 100% recommend using them for any outdoor project you have.
We hired this company to rebuild a retaining wall on our property that was sagging. At first, Jack seemed to be a very enthusiastic person to work with. After everything is said and done though, I can say that the only positive was that they have a great foreman and crew. I have no doubt that the structure they built will last. On to the bad. Jack does not know how to estimate. Job was originally verbally quoted for one price. Written quote came back higher and did not include all the materials one would expect to be included in a finished looking product, so after they'd already started, we agreed to pay more for caps. Then it turned out he didn't quote for and order enough material to make it as tall as it was supposed to be, so they improvised with a fence on top. After speaking with the foreman about the options there, we agreed a metal fence would be our preference. Then they just show up one morning with wood fence panels, one of which is already in poor shape, and start installing them. Jack had just decided that this was what we were getting. No one asked us if we were ok with the change. My husband took them out and replaced them with the metal ones we wanted. When the final bill came, I contacted them, asking them to retrieve their panels and not to charge us for them. They called my husband back (this whole process, they would always contact him in response to my inquiries) and tried to insist that he had approved the changes even though he was never given the option. The whole time he could hear Jack in the background yelling and throwing a hissy fit. They did agree to remove the cost of the panels, but we still ended up paying labor and delivery on them. All in all I think we ended up paying roughly $12-1500 more than we'd originally been led to believe.
