Explained my insurance card is electronic, then was asked for my health insurance card even though it’s a standard vision exam and I had my vision insurance. Asked why they needed the health insurance, was going to fill out the paperwork, but looked around the small office and the doctor was sitting in the office playing on his phone while someone was waiting. The office had a weird smell and was very small. I figured it be best to go back to my previous vision office than be seen there The first impression was not good.
To make matters worse they just called my daughter about these bad reviews and asked them to be taken down. They provided no satisfaction to my daughters complaint or any understanding. My daughter requested an itemized bill which they did not provide this morning. On the bill they charged her $40 for contact samples which clearly state “not for sale” on the package. Isn’t this illegal. Certainly unethical. My daughter is going to dispute the charge with her credit card company. That seems to be her I only course if action for such poor service. Stay clear if this practice. Something has gone badly wrong here.
I don’t know if it was just gross incompetence or they were in a lousy mood, but even though they were handed the correct information, not one but two workers were unable to verify insurance. I stepped out to the parking lot and do so via the phone in about 30 seconds. Not only were they unwilling to go further in the name of helping a new patient, they were short and rude, seemingly blaming me for their inability to perform a basic function of a medical facility. I just left and will not be trying to come back.
