We contacted Pat after going through two different training programs with our Husky mix Hopper. Hopper didn’t have the greatest introduction to the world and when we got him he was scared of other dogs, children and anyone who wasn’t part of the immediate family, especially men. Hopper scared off every trainer we previously had because he growled and lunged to scare people away. Hopper once escaped our back yard and was pepper sprayed by animal control for the same behavior. At home he is sweet, attentive, and playful. Our goal with Pat was to help us decrease aggression towards others. We acknowledge that it will be a lifelong process due to his fear, but the training and guidance that Pat has provided has made a significant difference in his behavior. We also understand why he does what he does a lot more because of Pat’s insight. During our first session Hopper was in a basket muzzle, growling and snapping at Pat. By our 3rd session he was able to give him treats without a muzzle. By our 6th session he was completely without a muzzle and Pat was able to move around him and Hopper used coping skills to create distance versus attacking the perceived threat. Pat gave us a foundation of skills to help desensitize Hopper to his triggers, they may always be triggers but he is better equipped to handle them. He is able to walk around our neighborhood on leash and focusing on his commands and our leadership versus trying to make his own bad choices. Prior to training if another dog approached him he was sure to attack, several weeks into training while on a walk two unleashed dogs approached him quickly and he created distance versus attacking. Even with the dogs loudly barking at him he was able to redirect and head home without any aggression. We as owners have more peace of mind having resources to use so that he can be in other environments successfully. I highly recommend contacting Pat if you have a challenging pup!

We took our two Dalmatians (6 yo and 5 yo) to Pat for snake avoidance training, since we do a lot of hiking with the dogs. I was very happy with the training and impressed with how quickly the dogs understood. Hopefully, we now have a better chance of avoiding a snake bite in the future.

Cami was handful to say the least. We called Pat and all I have to say is wow. He taught us how to train Cami. She is a completely different dog, so calm and loving. Pat is awesome he checks on your progress and he still keeps in touch with us to see how Cami is doing. I recommend Pat hands down he truly cares about animals and their well being.
