My wife has been a member of this dojo for over 20 years. Now, both of our kids train there as well. Beyond top notch training, this school is built around community and family values. Kids are taught more than just "how to kick." They are taught real self defense skills and the discipline that needs to go with them. This is not a school that just hands out black belts for a fee. This is a serious dojo that treats training, learning, and students with respect. Students advance in belts when they are actually ready and skilled, not based on a calendar dates or payment plans.

I trained at Kenukan for the first time when I was 14 for about a year and came back a few months ago at 20 years old. Throughout that time I always wanted to come back and I was finally able too. I was able to handle and protect myself in any situation the last 5 years just from what I learned when I was younger. It allows you to walk around with confidence and not be afraid of anyone. I’m a huge UFC fan and very passionate about MMA and this place is the real deal if you’re into that. Everyone at Kenukan is welcoming, respectful, and always have interesting stories to tell. As a busy college student with a part time job. This is the perfect way to forget about stress... read full review

He is crystal clear in his explanations, even though martial arts requires lots of concentration. His language is crisp, sharp, accurate. But most of all, he makes every student,... read full review
