There are a lot of negative reviews on here, which made us wary ... but after the corgi hurt his leg last Saturday, and having had a terrible experience at Blue Pearl, we didn't have much choice. WOW, were we surprised. From front desk staff to vet to the tech who discharged us, everyone was kind, attentive, helpful, and explained everything we needed to know. We loved the vet, Dr. Kilgore, who carefully explained treatment options to us, and the corgi loved the tech so much that he didn't want to leave her when it was time to go. I mean, you know it's all good when your dog licks the tech and wants to snuggle with her, right? When we followed up with our regular vet a few days later, he was pleased, and said their treatment and medications were exactly what he would have given. Also, I had eye surgery three days before our visit, needed to put ice packs on my eye every couple of hours. But we were there almost five hours, and halfway through, my eye started really hurting. The desk staff gave me an ice pack, and one of the techs came out to check on me! Seriously, awesome people all around.

My husband & I recently (after 7PM on a Friday night) took our 10 year old cat, Panda, to Mission Veterinary Emergency at the recommendation of our local vet. Our vet found that she had fluid in her lungs and needed Xray's to further diagnosis the problem. We were seen immediately upon arrival at Mission Vet. and Panda was taken to the ICU for oxygen. After Xrays were taken, Dr. Brittany McBrain at Mission Vet. met with us and said that a cancerous mass was found in Panda's chest pressing on her lungs and her heart. Dr. McBrain listed all the options available and after careful consideration and realizing that there was no cure and only a few days left for Panda, we chose euthanasia for our pet. Dr. McBrain was extremely kind and caring and knowing that additional procedures (and costs) would not change the outcome helped us reach our conclusion. We were able to be with Panda in order to say goodbye, (in a room designed for this purpose.) Dr. McBrain came in and administered a sedative so that Panda was asleep during the final injection. We cannot say enough positive things about Dr. McBrain. She was the only vet that we met at Mission Vet. but hopefully the other vets are as caring and as sensitive as she is.

We took our dog there with end of life issues. Blue Pearl would have tried to. Sell us all sorts of tests and Mission did not. They basically said it is what it is take him home and make him comfortable. We were so appreciative of this.
