“I came to Sway Salon because the place I had been going too changed a lot and I wasn’t getting the color or cut that I asked for. I actually went to the same place three times asking for ash blonde and kept getting a yellow color. :( I met with Jayda who was just the sweetest and LITERALLY LISTENED to everything I said and did exactly what I wanted. I normally have a side part but wanted a particular bang and she took the time to ACTUALLY explain unlike other salons why I couldn’t do the bang with a side part. We ended up coming to an agreement that was perfect for me, and my bangs! I left the salon so satisfied and have been playing with my hair since! Long to short if you know how that feels! I am going back to her for my color because I felt like their salon overall was ALL about their clients and Jayda 100% confirmed that. She is doing my color next week and I cannot wait to work with them again! With them, I am confident I will get exactly what I want. So check them out!!! ❤️

Hair type: I have the finest hair type in the world, it’s practically all baby hair in my opinion. My stylist caught on very quickly and was gentle and did everything she needed to do for my hair type!“

“This review is like a year too late, but when I lived in KC, I spent three years under the care of Marlene. I suffer from hyperpigmentation and oily skin in the summers. When I tell you, she had my skin looking like GLASS!!!!! Ever since I have moved, I have contemplated flying back just to get a peel from her. Her care was top notch; she actually paid attention to my skin and heard my concerns. Marlene if you read this...I miss you girl lol. Highly recommend this shop for anyone, but especially women of color.“
