The University of Kansas Physicians Family Medicine Clinic

After 40 years of not seeking medical care, because of the fear of doctors, this clinic, with its wonderful employees has made me feel right at home. I have been coming here for the last two years, and I am so impressed with the seamless teamwork of everyone involved. They all make me feel less anxious, welcomed, comfortable and informed, and answer my many questions with great patience and knowledge. I express great gratitude to all, especially to the residents.

It's very sad that the family medicine clinic has gone down hill! I've worked so hard to lose weight. I was prescribed medication to help with weight lost by another doctor. Unfortunately, my insurance is now not covering the medicine. This medicine was prescribed by a doctor that I thought was my PCP, but I'm now seeing another doctor. No one told me I would be seeing another doctor. This new doctor DOES NOT communicate with me. It's always a nurse or nurses. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Montgomery 6 months ago for June 27th because that was the soonest appointment available. That wait time is insane on its face and should be more than enough to justify a 1 star review. But now that the appointment was finally a week away, Dr. Montgomery canceled my appointment with no explanation given and when I called to reschedule, I was told that my only option is to reschedule once again for… October 26th.
