I am a loyal customer at Ulta, purchasing all of my makeup and hair products on a regular basis. I was very disappointed when I purchased on Friday the Kendra dry volume burst hair product and I was unable to use my purchased product. The spray nozzle didn’t work, so on Sunday I attempted to return the product for the same product. I thought it would be an even exchange, because I had my receipt. To my dismay, I owed Ulta more money, because I had used a coupon on Friday for my purchase that was over $90.00. I just don’t understand the logic behind this deal. I am very disappointed in the customer service displayed at Ulta. A Loyal Customer
They have a good selection of skin care, hair care & makeup. They have favorites like the very moderately priced, Canada's own "The Original" and a nice variety of Korean skincare. Ulta has their own line of very stand-up products. The downside is unlike Sephora, they don't sample & this is long before covid so save your receipt & original packaging when trying something new. The help can be fantastic or down right rude depending on who you get. It's Hutchinson, Kansas not New York... maybe keep that in mind. Over all I'm glad it's here & would hate to see it gone but would really like to see sampling implemented
I shop at Ulta frequently and usually have a good experience. However, recently I was given information about new brow services. I tried to call and book an appointment twice and no one answered the phone. I went online and tried to book but no matter what day or time I chose, it said there was no one there to do that service. I called a third time and was put on hold for a very long time while being transferred to the salon. When someone did get back on the phone, they told me there was no one there to do that service for about a week or more. I had expected since this was a new service there would be someone there to do it. I know staffing issues are happening everywhere...read full review
