I have gone to this hospital many times over the years. There are good Drs. BUT A recent ER trip will be the last trip ever to their ER. After 1 1/2 hrs at 1:30 AM a PA was brought in to see me. I was in extreme pain and had been vomiting non stop. I was told I could go home or stay. Granddaughter who took me said better stay, think you have appendicitis. Pain was getting worse as time went by. I was given fentanyl and morphine to try to mask the pain too, hardly touching the pain. Finally at 2:30 PM next day I see a stomach DR. gt CT scan, and at 5:30PM told I have a perforated appendix. Surgeon and his team on their way in. I was here on emergency work related business so my review is only going to be on the treatment that I received from the staff upon arrival. I can't speak on the medical treatments because I was not there in that capacity. This hospital is located off of Highway 75 in Holton Kansas. The highway is a major highway and it's easily accessible and easily seen. Parking it's not as ample as I thought. When I pulled up I was immediately shown how small the hospital really is. From the road it appears to look bigger than what it is when you get closer. I was let into the hospital after hours and I was treated very nice and friendly.
